This is a real problem, however while we donāt have this museum, we do have The National Museum of American Indian (yeah I hate the name too) that actually describes a lot of the bullshit Native Americans have had to go through. There is a room completely dedicated to every treaty that the US government made with Native Americans and then back out on (honestly itās the saltiest museum Iāve ever been in) They have stuff from the trail of tears to modern day issues. I would encourage everyone, especially my white friends who donāt know much about Native American culture or history, to go check it out.
Update: I was wrong, we do have this museum! I encourage everyone to check out the American Indian Genocide Museum in Dallas Texas. They participate in a lot of activism and education.Ā

Slavery was a choice though right?Ā
My grandpa lives in clarksdale, Mississippi and HATES white people with a passion. I grew up listening to stories like this. His cousins had to flee to Chicago in the 60s for trying to fight a group of white landowners who wanted to hang them for trying to leave the land they worked on.
Slavery turned into āshare croppingā if you kept your slaves ignorant and isolated then they didnāt know they had been freed. This went on well into the 60ās the fucking 60ās these people are still alive dealing with this type of shit in the deep south.
My friend said to āfact checkā this and Iām likeā¦black ppl are literally saying they were kept as slaves what is there to fact check. Anyway, sharecropping was still slavery as far as Iām concerned.
āFact check thisā in this specific context means, āFind some white academics who say it is true because we do not trust black folks living the experience.ā
What the fuck?!
