First Time: Anawangin Cove
Mom’s perspective:
Hi All!
Welcome to Redd Skye’s blog. Initially I will be the one in-charge of putting up all the stuff about his adventures. It has been part of our (me and husband) bucket list to travel and having him around adds up to the excitement, fun and enjoyment!
First on our list is Anawangin Cove in Zambales! This was an overdue scheduled trip with my office-mates and thankfully pushed through last August 28-30, 2015.
I was quite giddy as this is the first out of town trip of the family. Redd and Hubby fetched me at work as we would be fetched by the service van from my office. We left at 12MN. Thankfully the little kiddo was cooperative..
Sort of..
Around 5am we arrived at the Municipal Hall.. After another hour, we finally arrived where we’ll wait for the boat that will bring us to the cove.
So here’s some snapshots we did to kill the waiting time. :)
All smiles :)
Well something caught Redd’s attention here.. Hmm..
That smirk though..
After almost another hour, finally the boat’s ready!! Yay!
Redd’s first time to ride a boat and he was all sleepy and grumpy...
At last. We got to arrive at the cove!!! First thing we did was of course, experience the waters..
But Redd was just so afraid of the waves..
We tried recharging up for the rest of the day. As the place brings us to a rural feel. No electricity, no internet, no phone signal, in summary, no technology. It actually rained in the afternoon and my Redd was very uneasy. Thankfully, it brought breeziness. Admittedly, in the evening, we tried to stay on track of Redd’s daily routine schedule but to no avail. We were on an island cove and I can imagine Redd telling us, “Hello guys? We’re in a different place and it’s very difficult to adjust especially for me.” I’m just so proud of my son being so strong and immune to every weakness that may succumb him at that place.
The second day was quite fast. We did enjoy the “untitled” viand our friends prepared. Tried to enjoy again the seawaters. We found Redd’s comfy spot!! It’s not at the shore where the waves end but it’s in the waters where we get to feel and jump with the waves. :)
The kid also enjoyed the boat ride going to Camara Island!!! Look at that face! (He’s looking amused at his ninang..)
Camara Island was such a beauty! We should have dropped by here before we went to Anawangin :)
Anawangin is a perfect place to forget the bustle and hassle of the Metro. All you have to worry about is the food, the sleeping area and the company.
This family trip will be the first to many we plan to have with this little kiddo. Please stay tune!
Lots of Love,
Redd Skye, Kopi and Pau
