Hi! I recently bought the complete pdf set for the Soddenweald and while I was researching, I saw your Patreon post about turning The Forgotten God adventure packs into a book. Once this is complete, will it be available on your website?
We haven’t actually thought about the website for this yet, but it’s a great question!
We’re hoping to eventually make a physical hardback copy of The Forgotten God and it’s Soddenweald Guide companions via a Kickstarter hopefully this year some time. I imagine that eventually we’ll also add a PDF version of the book to the shop, but that will likely be late this year or early next year.
If you want to follow our progress of the book, we’re about to publish the cover art for them as this month’s Patreon drop! Currently we’re rewriting and editing the entire campaign as we wrote this 8 years ago and have improved our skills a lot in the years since, both in game design terms and graphic design too. Our wonderful patrons voted for us to give this campaign a makeover and we’re about a quarter of the way through.
Go check out the whole thing on Patreon!
I am so very serious when I say that minors should have a legal and easily reinforceable right to say "I don't want to live with my parents (or other adult caretakers)/I don't want to be around that person/I don't want to go to that place" and actually get their wish accommodated. So much childhood trauma could be avoided or ended if children actually had the right to leave the situation or the person hurting them.
Tired from practice 🫣
With Mother’s Day coming up, I just want to give a shoutout to all of those who are low contact or no contact with their mother or mother figure. So many people say “but she’s your___!” and I’m sorry that they push that on you. You are completely valid if you need/want space from your mom and it doesn’t mean that you’re bad or anything like that.
I also want to give a shoutout to those who have lost their mother/mother figure. Loss is hard and it can be traumatic and if Mother’s Day brings up bad feelings for you, you are so valid.
If Mother’s Day is hard for you for whatever reason(s), you are completely valid and that’s okay.
It’s Mother’s Day where I am today so this feels relevant again.
Sadly it’s impossible to avoid hearing about it too. Every store and restaurant advertisement is going to shove it in your face. For those who deal with the trauma, anger, sadness, whatever you’re feeling my heart goes out to you. You will get through this, you are stronger than your pain, and it does get easier. I know.

oh know I sneezed and hit reblog by accident and now I’m typing this by accident too
Reblogging again to say that some of the links in the original post are broken but all of these are available on the internet archive
I miss Tumblr and then I remembered it was still here and missing it wasn't strictly necessary so I decided why not just post?!
So today I wanna show you one of my DnD journals that is and will forever be unfinished and mildly scrappy. I don't journal every single time I play so the notes don't always make sense but it's something nice to do when I'm playing over Discord and need to keep my hands busy!
Without further ado, the journal of Crusty Pebble, a weird rocky goblin who won't stop blowing his obnoxious little horn:
Medium effort first page with a print of an old map I had leftover from a photoshoot. I've just realised it says CHINA in prominent letters right at the top. This wasn't a campaign in China, it's set in the fantasy land of Hemelin in an evil city called Dragonspring. Ah well. It's a cool oldy looking map there for the vibes. I love the washi tape border, it's such a cool design!
One of the inventory pages - we constantly used the Portable Hole as extra storage. At one point a bunch of the party's pets got petrified and without an immediate means of rectifying their state, we threw them in the portable hole for safe keeping, and they remained there for a good 10 sessions!
Max effort spread! Back at session 2 when I had all the intentions of being this peak for every session going forward. Spoiler: I managed five and a half spreads over the course of two years with fornightly sessions. But it's ok! No one is grading this :')
When will my obsession with stamp stickers end?? They're eternally CUTE.
Another fun spread, though it seems I forgot to draw a map of the Drua Garden... I love the earthy tones going on here - fitting for a session set under the ground in a druid grove!
Inexplicable MAX MAX EFFORT going on here, I guess I was really feeling green that day! I remember stepping back from this with a "what have I done..." feeling, but looking back on it now, it's really fun! And loads of these open up to reveal random information, check it out:
It's all from these sort of underground spa caves we visited for a pampering DnD session. We don't always treat the plot with a lot of urgency....
Who doesn't love a shopping episode!!! This is the one where we all got our aforementioned pets - a pack of Drakehounds (dragon-based pups). We all gave them B names like Burger, Bongle and Bungeon. I immediately sent Bungeon into battle where he was subsequently petrified by a basilisk and it took me over 10 sessions to rectify that mistake, and now he remains at the back of every fight because he must now be protected at all costs <3
Aw, lil Bungeon.
Thanks for checking out my journal! A lot of the stuff I used is stuff I make for my shop like journals, stickers, etc, which you can check out here.
More importantly though, if you wanna take a look at my other journals leave me a note and I'll do some more tours!
<3
I'm digging each and every bit of theme and lore Cantarella has. Kurogame has always done villain/morally grey characters better and so far they have been nailing it with Cantarella. I know she won't be a bad guy, they already revealed in the livestream what her role is in the story but nevertheless, not being a pure goody two shoes is interesting enough. I love how much they are leaning into the poison themes, her name literally means poison too and the Tacet Mark on tongue is genius especially seeing the story behind it.
If all people can see is her being gooner bait and fanservice then it's their loss. Sexy femme fatale types are always my favourite, there's a reason I love Signora, Jade and all my Ptn women especially Chameleon and Cabernet. Showing her younger form is also very interesting and I'm thinking now that her companion mission will likely dive into her past which is exactly what I want cause she's had very little lore in the game so far. Being the Fisalia family head and strangely absent from major events? Yeah, there's gotta be something behind it
Anyways, yeah I'm super hyped for her and literally cannot wait enough. Jade was the last character I was this hyped for so it's exciting 🤭 just hope they live up to all this and don't chicken out or something haha
Having sex isn't everything, have y'all tried just laying down, playing with someone's hands while they talk about life. Those are the moments to live for. Deep talk and understanding someone's background, opening up to someone and actually falling for them more and more.
queer vampire sex. you agree. reblog
"it's her blood in your veins" is so essentialist. You know how oppressors categorize the people they oppress as less than them, as animals? This is textbook fascism, which is actually fascinating regarding Caitlyn's arc.
She was born in a very wealthy and influential family in position of power which allowed her to exercise a certain care-free, almost naive desire to see the world, just like a child whose presented with toys. I do not doubt for a second she thinks the people of Zaun suffered because of the society she is a product of, Vi is the perfect example of "you are not like them", which in season 1 was the cataclysm to her empathy, and indubitably the crumbling of any shred of compassion the moment she is personally attacked.
Her mother died, which is atrocious, but countless mothers died in Zaun against Piltover and the complete disregard it had towards Zaun's population. How many mothers died by enforcers? By chemicals' exposure? How many little girls lost their mom?
Caitlyn grief is emblazoned and coated in the privilege she was born into, reinforcing the idea she grew up with, that people of Zaun will not hesitate to eat her alive if they could, that's why she violently rejects Vi. They are all the same, it's in their nature. Caitlyn's anguish is in part grounded in discrimination.
Why you shouldn’t support the upcoming game Black Myth: Wukong
Simply put, the creators behind Black Myth: Wukong are raging misogynists.
Founders and creatives of the studio have:
Joked about former female employees hypothetically doing prostitution
Used suggestive/objectifying/derogatory imagery & phrasing in their hiring flyers (under the cut), e.g. “In addition to hookup buddies, we promise to provide more thoughtful services” , “fatties fuck off”, etc.
Written entire think pieces on how video games don’t need female players or developers, how women are biologically inclined towards “softer” modes of gaming than men (there’s also a bit of homophobia mixed in through language such as “fuck sissies”), how some things should just be made for men, etc. “Fuck sissies, fuck tragic love stories, fuck moon-lit peach blossoms and flute-playing scholars! You don't need the reverse motivation of female players, you don't need to take care of those worms who just want to date chicks. Some things are just for men, their depression, their anger, their pain...”
Made numerous sexually explicit (& honestly incel-like) comments including ones about a female character in Black Myth: Wukong, e.g. “once you get used to this [character design] you can jerk off to it”, etc.
Boasted about how they’re losing followers, who must be women
To no one’s surprise, when people criticise the studio online, they’re met with vitriol about how they’re hypersensitive feminists, too politically correct, etc.
Chinese women have been YELLING non-stop on social media about how bad it is so it’s pretty depressing to see that a lot of non-Chinese gamers, even after reading an IGN article covering the situation, are apathetic. I get that a lot of people are excited about the novelty of a soulslike game based on Chinese mythology, but do you really want to support a studio that actively contributes towards and benefits from misogynistic gaming culture?
Talking about separating the artist from their art is bullshit if you're financially supporting them. Boycott! Pirate!
Here are some sources if you want to see detailed translations, learn more about the situation as well as the misogynistic gaming culture at large China:
A string of sexually charged online comments from the founder of a Chinese game developer caused a furor on the Chinese internet last week,
For an indie studio that has only released mobile titles within China, this widespread acclaim over Black Myth: Wukong is a largely unpreced
