Please, everyone, be careful not to assume you know or understand what someone is going through when you haven't gone through or studied what they're going through. It's one thing to say that you know that they're going through times of hardship or say you understand that they are going through a lot, but do not downplay what they're going through or assume it based on someone else's experience. This doesn't support them. It shows them the opposite of what you're trying to convey: that you don't know or understand. And here's the thing: you may not know or understand. Pray over them every day, and trust that God will bring about positive change in their life. After all, there is only one who can understand anything anyone's going through, and that is the almighty Lord. You can still help them by talking to them and trying to reach them, but, to do so, you must accept the possibility that you truly don't understand and prevent hurting them.
