“HEY JER.” SELENE called out from the kitchen, wiping her hands off on a random towel after finishing loading dishes she had been procrastinating doing for at least three days at that point. if it weren’t for the plates they had used for dinner practically toppling over at the top of the random bowls and silverware, she probably would’ve avoided it for another night. if only she was so lucky.
“you know what i miss?” she hums, walking over to the couch he sat on, leaning over the back of it so she was looking down at him with a playful grin. “i miss being complete dumbasses in highschool and pulling all-nighters like we were gonna miss something for the 8 hours we slept. sooooo…” she scrunched her nose amusedly as her grin turned into a full-blown smile, leaning closer to him. “how does hating ourselves tomorrow and watching god awful movies all night sound? maybe we can play spin the bottle or truth or dare. i’ll braid your hair if you braid mine.” she jokes as she juts her bottom lip out in a pleading pout, fluttering her eyelashes to add to the act she was pulling.
“hey sel,” remy answered absentmindedly, his eyes focused on the television as he scrolled through netflix. jayce laying on the couch with her head in his lap. the trash was calling his name, and he’d do it- it was trash night but... he was just so comfortable. “what d’you miss baby,” he smiled, leaning his head back against the back of the couch, eyes locked on her now. “i was gonna miss something, you, all hyped up on lack of sleep. plus if I remember correctly, one of those all nighters is what wound up being our first kiss.” he rattled off, his hand instinctively scratching the top of the pup’s head.
“oh you think you’re gonna touch this hair- you got another thing coming.” he mused, reaching his free hand up to take her’s, pulling for her to come sit beside him. “but everything else sounds just fine to me, I’ll hate myself tomorrow, or maybe pass out after you do. how can i say no to that look?” he hummed, head still leaning against the back of the couch. there was something just so comforting about being around selene. and he was certain he wouldn’t trade these moments for the world. “can we play seven minutes in heaven?”
