ive been thinking about the part in the novel where jack compares the feeling of losing his temper to frantically trying to kill a bug in a car and eventually crashing. i cant help but picture him in his comically small beetle and flailing his arms about trying to kill it while stuck in traffic. and everyone around him has no idea whats going on and gives him weird looks. the same thing could happen at work, like hes just sitting in the teachers office in his suit and everything and suddenly he goes apeshit just cause he saw a bee, scattering his papers everywhere

it is funny to think abt but also works really well as an analogy of being extremely emotionally dysregulated, which he is fffs

Appreciating that moment in the Doctor Sleep film where Andi is telling Dan Torrance to sleep and he looks briefly offended with his defiant eyes as if he's saying "Fuck you, you evil bitch I'm Doctor Sleep. You can't pull this over on me. Stay away from..." Then it's just lights out.

10/10 Dan moment. Way to fight the good fight, buddy.

Andi also looks wholly offended too. Like both were ruining each other's hook.
