This story is a rewrite of babqftim, not a continuation story. This version is my interpretation, you can see it as its own separate story, since none of the original scenes/plots will take place here. Once again I need to stress that I do not support TGR or any of her actions. This is just my take on how I wouldāve changed things
This version is 17+ (details explained in cut below)

! Short Summary : This version takes place in the 1930ās, where toons of Cel City deal with the crisis of the ink illness. Because of this, many are left with untreated conditions of the illness while others have evacuated into the wild to avoid the disease.
This story is about the adventure of Bendy and Boris, two brothers with the goal of finding a cure for the disease (and they make friends along the way!)
- I plan for this comic to focus heavier on the drama surrounding survival rather than romance. Romance will be implemented with Oswald/Felix but itās not the main focus.
- This comic will still have lighthearted moments! But if you are looking for a version of the comic that's equally/on par to the whimsical/shippy nature of the original, then this one is not it!
- Building further on the last bullet point, this comic will focus more on the adventure and characters themselves, but more with their struggles to survive. Again, canāt stress this enough, itāll be silly from time to time but this version is not intended to be as lighthearted as the original.
- The conditions of body horror (face peeling, numerous/missing limps, ābleedingā) won't be shown to a graphic degree, but it is worth mentioning to those who feel uncomfortable with that form of content. Please tread with caution.
- This comic is intended to have heavy themes such as guilt, loss, trauma (This will be updated as the story progresses). Be mindful that this version would fall under the 17+ Rating, meaning "May contain intense violence, extensive profanity, nudity, sexual themes, and other content suitable only for older readers,ā according to Library Research Guides rating system. This rating may possibly go up depending on how the comic progresses

I haven't posted about this this quite a long time! Almost 2 years! Though, I doubt I still have many followers from when I was working on IMA, I still wanted to post this here since TikTok was going feral over these guys (cough cough Cuphead cough cough).
Originally this was just meant to be a redesign of the BABTQFTIM designs... but I got attached, then my friends got attached, and this might've became a whole AU... (įµāįā)
I'm sure that it's obvious from some that their roles have changed.
Not sure if it'll actually go anywhere, I definitely still have a lot I need to iron out in both characters and story, but if I like where I take it and can bear showing it to people, maybe!
(Some quick context: BABTQFTIM was an ask blog from 2017 that was basically a giant crossover between a lot of classic cartoon and rubberhose characters. Some modern characters were featured as well. In this world they had a deadly disease called "Ink Illness" in which the only cure was the Ink Machine. The machine was hidden away for whatever reason and the main cast had to find it.)
I MUST WARN ANYONE WHO GOES TO LOOK AT THE ORIGINAL BLOG, THE CREATOR IS KNOWN TO BE PROMLEMATIC!!! Please do some research on "Thegreatrouge" before looking through their stuff. This video goes over a lot of the controversies.

I would definitely say this comic suffers from on and off hiatus, as Iām a full time student so most of my time Iām dedicated to homework. I donāt plan on breaking any time soon but in the scenario I do quit this comic Iāll just make a post announcing so.
