SEE, CIVILIAN?
Stormwater: Slow it, Spread it, Sink it.
This PSA may be the first time viewers have heard of “Low Impact Development.” It introduces why we need it and the basics of how it is implemented. The goal of the spot is to connect the importance of urban drainage in city planning and show homeowners ways they can help.

HOLD IT, CIVILIAN!
I’ve got a notion you don’t understand erosion!
This animated PSA raises general public awareness of the stressful impact of erosion on our waterways and the best construction practices to help prevent it. With a light-hearted, but gruff approach, Sgt. Red and Mingo use an easel to inform Civilian how unimpeded silt from a construction site flows into the storm drain and goes down-stream, one disaster causing the next until it affects Civilian’s own son. This video introduces the viewers to erosion control devices like silt fences, silt socks, gravel exits and erosion control blankets.
HOLD IT, PICASSO!
Water soluble does NOT mean water safe!
Painted Turtle is a broadcast PSA that informs homeowners and the public how seemingly harmless substances flushed into the storm drain cause havoc in our waterways. The average person is uninformed about the dangers of illicit discharges. Sgt. Red is on a mission to educate our viewers and push them in the right direction. In the process, he rebrands the slightly rebellious-sounding “illicit discharges” into a catchphrase that is decidedly not cool -- dishonorable discharges
