what made you decide to rework the demo and add more ROs?

how did i not see this? oh my goodness i am so sorry. mostly because i reworked the plot and it made more sense to change around the ros and the original plot. it will make a lot more sense when i release more info!! i’m still working on things <3

038. a road trip across country, music blaring through speakers

with the gang of ROs?? or wtv character(s) you like <3

love this one!! i’ll do it with the ros and mc. this mc will just be called mc so it’s easier for me to write <3 i’ll also be using m!ali, m!max, f!frankie and f!sam for this prompt. also this is really dialogue heavy i'm so sorry in advance.

“why is alistair driving? i wanted to drive." samantha pouts from her position stuck between max and frances. the five of you had decided on renting a car to drive down to a vacation town not too far from redwood.

"it's nothing against you sam." you smile from the passenger seat. "ali rented the car so it's easier if he drives. when we rent the next car, you can drive."

"no! she can't." frances blurts out as everyone gives her a confused look. "i just don't really want to die anytime soon."

"don't be so dramatic frankie. if you're so scared of my driving, why don't you drive then? oh wait, you can't!"

"i think," max starts loudly to interrupt. "i think we should play some music and also, i should sit in the passenger seat. my legs are cramping stuck in the back."

"hey, i'm tall and you don't see me complaining maxy max." sam rummages in her handbag for some lipgloss as she speaks. she applies a thin layer. "wait. actually i will complain. i should drive and maxy should sit in the passenger seat." "that's not fair." frances says.

"life isn't fair honey and max and i are the oldest. we have the most life experience of driving and being in the passenger seat." max nods slowly at sam's explanation. "okay." alistair says, as everyone looks at him. "i'm going back to the car rental place."

"wait? what?" you say.

"i need a bigger car."

"for my legs?" max asks.

"for me to drive?" sam says. "because i'm fine driving this one."

"no, i need a bigger car with a bigger stereo system so that i don't have to listen to you guys."

"now that's just unnecessary." sam pouts. "i'll be quiet. i promise."

"thank you." ali smiles in the mirror so that samantha can see.

"but, i want to play some music."

"okay, that's fair." ali nods to you to pass sam the cord to plug her phone in. she smiles at you and taps on her phone for a few moments before suddenly a recognisable song plays. flooding the car with guitar noises. it's life is a highway by rascal flatts.

"seriously sam." ali's lips are flattened. "the cars soundtrack?"

"c'mon ali." frances grins. "it is a good song."

max nods as samantha sings along. after a moment, all three of the passengers at the back are attempting to sing. you roll your eyes and join in after a while. alistair keeps his eyes focused on the road but you can see his lip quirk up for a moment.

"best impromptu car concert ever. you really brought it all together with your backing vocals." samantha nods at max as he places a hand on his heart.

"thank you samantha. backing vocals is really where i shine." "we should start a band maxy."

"i was thinking the exact same thing!" "we're in sync." the two start to dramatically point their index fingers against each other in a synchronised gesture, as the three of you stare in confusion.

"this wouldn't happen if you let samantha drove." frances said.

"but you said she couldn't drive and she'd kill us!" you respond.

"yeah, well, i changed my mind. anything is better than watching this."

you all laughed at frances' deadpan expression. obviously the possibility of a band forming might have been a whimsical idea, but the bonds you were building were very much real, woven tightly together by the threads of music and the open road.

013. a zoo, filled with an array of unique animals with ali, pretty please c:

a zoo! this one was fun to write as i never really write about zoos or animals a lot. i had to do a little research but i hope you enjoy this!

"a zoo?" ali had raised an eyebrow at your suggestion. "the first day of our summer break and you want to go to a zoo?"

"zoos are fun! think about all the animals! even you couldn't hate zoos."

"it's not a matter of hating them, it's more so that i would rather spend my free time doing," ali turns the wheel of the rental car as you turn into the zoo. "well, anything else then smelling animal faeces."

you roll your eyes as ali parks the car smoothly. they get out and put on a pair of sunglasses.

"at least you dressed appropriately for once." you tease, grabbing your picnic bag and slinging it over a shoulder. ali had dressed down in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt with a pair of trainers. all designer probably but you hadn't the care to research it. mostly because that would be very weird.

ali's mouth drops at the comment.

"i always dress appropriately i'll have you know."

"formal wear to a eight am morning class isn't appropriate."

"it's business casual." ali hisses as they lean in to pay for the the tickets to be let in. "obviously business casual is the correct outfit for any place of knowledge."

"sure." you grin sweetly as ali rolls their eyes. the two of you make your way into the zoo, looking through all of the attractions on the map. ali's shoulder brushes yours as they lean in and you can smell their fragrance as they do. you grin as you decide on your next destination.

"i know exactly where we're going next." "it better not be somewhere filthy mc. these sneakers are my only pair."

"i promise it won't be. it shouldn't be too filthy and if it is, then i'll buy you a milkshake to make up for it or a smoothie if you're still on that health kick."

"a milkshake would be better." ali's gaze briefly averts, and you catch a hint of a blush on their cheeks. You know you've struck a chord.

"thought so." you tease.

after a few minutes of walking, in which ali had suddenly managed to show you the small copy of the picture of dorian gray that they had managed to stuff in the pocket of their shorts, you arrived at the giraffe enclosure. you both stand up on a raised platform so that you can look out at the animals grazing on their food and wandering around.

"do you ever wonder what it's like to be a giraffe?" you ask, leaning on the platform.

"no. i don't think a lot of people do." "i do."

"explains a lot."

ali grins at you, as you roll your eyes. the two of you turn to watch the giraffes for a moment longer, pulling out your phone and taking a picture. not just of the giraffes in the sunlight, but also of ali staring out into the view. a warm breeze brushes against your skin, and you find yourself stealing glances at them. your heart skips a beat as you catch ali stealing quick glimpses at you too, their eyes lingering just a tad longer than necessary.

"come on." you say, after a moment. "let's get you that milkshake." "but my shoes aren't dirty."

"...yet."

"oh come on!"

Oh Looordddd....whelp, now i see who's behind the card declination. And due to the amount of embarrassment I felt, as just the reader, I've chosen not to feel bad. I will not forgive that man. nope, nada.

Like who even does that and NOT tell the person? How do you just not inform them that you've been digging in their money. You literally left MC there; not a heads up before the trip, not even a heads up at drop off...just- left. them. there to just find out in what could be the most humiliating way possible for many people.
