"Jesters are immortal beings that came into existence when mankind appeared. They feed on the dreams of sleeping humans, and must keep consuming or cease to exist." These five Jesters are VERY powerful amongst their kind:

NiGHTS was once known as Night Terror, a fearsome and terrible Jester of the starless nights. After a traumatizing event, they changed their form, and became an ally to human dreamers.

Reala started as a very small Jester known as Cricket, feeding on scraps and fearful of other Jesters bigger than him. After consuming a fellow Jester one day, his form changed to become bigger and MUCH stronger. He is cruel and cunning, as well as being an excellent hunter.

Balan is a Jester with a love for music, and is an excellent singer. He sings lullabies to send the dreamer asleep before delivering a single killing blow. He is very adventurous, flying through the Dream Realm with ease. The hat is not removable.

Lance is a Jester of no words, relying on simple sounds for communicating emotion. He is a predator that travels in the shadows, using his tentacles to stab or constrict prey to death. Although blind, he is incredibly precise in his attacks, and can easily determine one's presence simply by feeling the surfaces around him. Excellent hearing as well.

Jackle, a Jester of games, loves to gamble with her prey. Win a game against her, and you can leave her domain. Often summons doors around the Dream Realm to entice dreamers to enter. She relies on tricks to win a battle. Despite her massive size, she is NOT the strongest.

NiGHTS refuses to eat dreams… until they’re to the point of starving. Then they become rabid with hunger.

Reala revels in the hunt, and will gladly make the dreamer suffer before the devouring.

Balan is willing to eat but always gives a swift blow to kill his prey quickly.

Jackle loves playing games of chance with her prey. If you win, you can leave. Unless she’s being a sore loser that day.

NiGHTS and Reala feeding on dreams and NiGHTS starving to be kind is just SO GOOD. You make them look like they're from some mythology with those teeth and claws!! Eating your art.

Night Terror, a Jester that was incredibly ruthless, and adored the moonlit nights in the Dream Realm. They would target anyone who would dare cross their paths... until one day they met a tiny child that they grew attached to. Unfortunately, the child's dream self was devoured by Reala, traumatizing Night Terror. Afterward, they changed their form, and re-named themselves NiGHTS, a friend to humans.

Cricket was a small Jester, fearful and avoiding other Jesters other than Night Terror, his sibling. Unfortunately, he was targeted by a different Jester, who enjoyed tormenting him. Insults turned to threats, then physical violence. Then one day, Cricket had enough. He attacked his tormentor, tearing out their throat with his own jaws. It didn't stop there, as he then proceeded to devour the defeated foe. His form changed, becoming much larger and stronger. He loved the rush of power, and Reala was born.

Except one's a very cruel and gluttonous beast, taking pleasure in toying with his prey.
