Not to the almost religious degree Agni has faith in Soma, but it was implied that demons can’t have any degree of faith in another being. Meanwhile Sebastian was out there believing that Ciel would recover from his PTSD episode and holding off on the breach of contract business instead of immediately declaring it (though he knew Ciel had recovered from episodes before, even if this one was particularly severe and lengthy), and he’s still out here with one hundred percent faith that Ciel will reclaim the title of Earl Phantomhive. It cannot be understated what a terrible situation Ciel’s landed in, but Sebastian thinks he can recover from this, too. And this isn’t Sebastian having faith in his own abilities to solve this mess! Undertaker is stronger than him! He can’t solve this the way he always does (brute force)! No, he believes in Ciel’s ability to strategize his way out of this mess. A powerful weapon is a powerful weapon, but it can only display its true strength when its wielder knows how to use it, and Sebastian believes that Ciel is capable of leading them to victory.
