There are some common, and often true themes that run around the internet and in books about what a âpisces moonâ is all about. Some of these themes include empathy, idealism, and intuitive ability. Also escapism, because what conversation about pisces is complete without mentioning escapist tendencies?!
But Iâm here to tell YOU, as a pisces moon, what I think about it. To give you some background, my pisces moon is pretty much the sole source of water in my chart. Otherwise, my natal chart is pretty earth dominant, with a sprinkle of fire to add a spark or two. I have a taurus rising, virgo sun and of course, a pisces moon.
The bit about escapism is very true. I find that I require a bit of a âskip on realityâ if you will, to regain my composure. Itâs like a reset button - that I sometimes need to press rather frequently. My favorite escapist tendencies are smoking, scenic drives, music, and any and all creative pursuits. Most commonly, writing.
I want anyone reading this to look at their natal chart, and find their chart ruler (your ascendant). For example, my ascendent is taurus, therefore my chart ruler is venus. Now take pisces (I FEEL) and combine it with what your chart ruler signifies. For me, this would be: I FEEL BEAUTY. But for someone with an aries rising, they might put: I FEEL POWER. Or someone with a gemini rising: I FEEL LIKE SHARING. Or someone with a capricorn rising: I FEEL RESTRICTED/GROUNDED. That should give you a good sense of how your pisces moon (I feel), affects your overall chart. ** You can also replace âI FEELâ with the phrase for pisces, âI BELIEVEâ. Example: I BELIEVE in BEAUTY.
As a pisces moon though, I feel a lot of things. I feel whimsical, most of the time! This is because I have learned that through the empathy and intuitive abilities that come with my pisces moon, I cannot hold on to negativity. So I instead chase after the positive things in life. I canât hold them, I donât think any water moon can âholdâ feelings! We are not built to stew in our emotions (though to an extent any fixed sign might say different!), but rather to flow with them. This is especially true of pisces, as it is mutable water.
Since pisces rules the 12th house, we feel on a different level than most. We feel others, and we empathize more than most. Even when we donât want to empathize, we cannot help but put ourselves in others shoes. One of the worst things that has ever been said to me, was that I âcouldnât understandâ because of x, y or z. I may not understand, but I know on some intuitive level, what others are talking about or feeling. Itâs just my nature. Itâs not even always a pleasant thing, it can often be both draining and depressing.
I find that my moon resonates with beauty the most. I see it everywhere. I feel it everywhere. I cannot let the aim of emotions become destructive. Not when they are so much apart of my everyday life. I will not let my emotions become a destructive force for myself or others. So instead I have chosen to use them constructively (virgos, we find ways to do everything and anything!). I believe (thereâs that pisces phrase again!), that there is a reason behind all of this madness. I believe that there is a greater good. I recognize that perhaps I am sometimes too optimistic, or idealistic, but as a pisces moon, there is no alternative. If I believed otherwise, I would not be able to endure the cruelty that is so much apart of this world.
On a final note, I think pisces moons are unabashedly true to themselves and others. We do not worry about a facade, nor do we ever regret what has come to pass. We recognize that there is a reason (because we believe!), for being here. We donât see the point in covering up ourselves or running from who we are, even if we might sometimes appear to run from reality. We may fantasize, and idolize, or romanticize, but we donât care. That is who we are, and we are happy to be here in this skin and blessed with this profound ability to see. We may not see as others, but our ability to see goes much further, and is not something that we, as pisces moons, will ever second guess.
 Put simply, Pisces moons believe, fully and completely, in whatever they see to be true. Most simply, we BELIEVE.Â
