I decided to change somethings about Fiadh. which luckily didn't cause too much chaos, and I was able to just add a handful of edits to her reference instead of having to redo it.

The main things I decided to change:
Her last name has been changed to a common Polish last name. Nowak means "new man" and/or "newcomer."
Her Dymkovo into a Pisanki egg, with as much meaning as before.
I added and made sure all of her scars have reasons, as well as adding a lower back scar to represent the injuries she would have received when she died.
I also changed her hairstyle, not only to make the scars more visible on her back but also to represent a desire to connect with her heritage.
I am also going to leave the concept for the Pisanki that I used to help me design it correctly. It does list the color meanings, though what they symbolize or how Fiadh feels about them may not be as straight forward when put in the circumstances of the story.

Just to keep some substance to me posting here are somethings I drew while working on some full pieces. Some HYHOM (Have You Heard Of Me) pieces I made recently.
This is Graveyard. He is either going to be a side character or background character in one of the three stories in the HYHOM universe. This was drawn on a tablet I had gotten to help me draw without the stress of setting up a whole drawing tablet. So, it might look lightly different as I had to use Ibispaint instead of my normal Firealpaca. This was also around the time i began to mess with using a noise filter for anti-theft.
Next is Carnation who is Graveyard's twin brother. Carnation's design was based on/ had genetic chimerism, hence the split design. He is also half blind (the purple eye). He will most likely be a side character. This was also drawn on Ibispaint.
This is Midnight who will be a side character. Once again this was drawn in Ibispaint.
Hopefully soon I will have the piece I am doing for Fiadh done soon. I am currently working on the background. This piece has taken me an extremely long time.
I may also have another post of simple headshot drawings I have done for my fursona stuff soon.
So, I am working on stuff in random spurts which is chaotic and I am unsure of what I am completing or doing. I have stuff for Fiadh in progress (like art and story stuff), but also character designs, an adopt and future commission, and other art I am working on. While I am working on a piece for Zig I did take a break to work on this at one point. It was around 2 weeks ago. I just never go around to posting it.
I have made at least three other pieces like this. I believe the only one I ever posted was Zbigniewa's profile picture art. I have a tiny feeling I will end up making more of these but can't promise anything.

This part will include the experimental drawing, reference, and future plans for a drawing. There was a previous part to this, including her concepts. #fiadh will include all parts.
Concept Experimental Piece
This was done shortly after I finished the concepts from the previous post. This was a way for me to attempt to see how Fiadh’s design may work in action. There are still hints of my art block left during this, but I got a piece done. This also served as an aid to forming her backstory. In the piece, it depicts when Fiadh would, for the second and last time, truly feel the sun from her home before leaving the ruins of what once was her life behind. It is a major turning point for her and is a moment that haunts her dreams and happier moments.
Taking me around 2 weeks and 4 days, the process of drawing Fiadh’s ref started around Oct 29th, at least a week later than i wanted to. Originally, I planned to finish it on Halloween. This reference has a similar pose for the main example drawing to her concept experimental piece, but instead of focusing on a more depressed appearance, I attempted an angry, sad feel. Her mini ref is actually from the same sketch as her concept to save time. A list of details were added, such as:
Her age, height, weight, gender, and status.
The detail of her holding a Dymkovo toy on her person and a hint as to what it might mean.
Small detail about the pouch on her sash.
Her color palette.
Further details on things like symbolism and her past will be shared in the future, but for now, it will be undisclosed.
For now, I do not have much art-wise besides a full drawing, scar reference, concepts and ideas for her cat, and pfp. Most loose ideas are for her Toyhouse profile, and her backstory I have to write down.

For my art in general, I do have a drawing and a few reference posts planned. The drawing will be about my character Zbigniewa. The reference posts will be a series of posts that show my character references and bullet points about them.

This will go in order of how I came up with her design and include the older pictures used in a previous post. It will start with my original ideas and continue to her ref and content I have now. This has 2 parts, #fiadh will include all parts.
Original Concepts
Fiadh was originally made to just be a simple character to draw and possibly use to draw about games I played. But later, she became a character I wanted to use to finally learn to write for myself and to find comfort in. Her original concept just had themes and objects I enjoyed having on characters and thought was cool, such as her gas mask, ginger hair, and magenta eyes.
This was a weak attempt at exploring her having her hair up and a newer gas mask. Sadly, this was also made during one of the worst art blocks I have ever had, so progress on Fiadh would come to a halt, and I began to struggle. It was also originally taken as a screenshot.
After a huge amount of experimental sketching and struggling to get out of art block, I was able to start working on Fiadh’s concept to my full ability. This would lead to me taking almost every detail into consideration, down to small details like tones of her clothing and where freckles are placed. This was also when I began to actually take her seriously and enjoyed doing so.

Tw: Doll like nudity
Her skin being pale to mirror how, in cases of hypothermia, people's skin can become extremely pale and smooth.
Her hands and feet are a fade of black to red to white to symbolize the process of frostbite. (I also like the detail of the character's hands fading to a contrasting color.) Her hands and feet, when cold, can also harden, much like how frostbite causes affected areas to do so.
She is also flushed, similar to how people can become flushed from cold winds.
Her freckles are in areas like her cheeks, shoulders, and chest. This is due to the fact that areas that are often exposed to sunburn on people with fairer skin often causes freckles to pop up.
She has more of a sad look to her, to help her symbolize the confusion and desperation that often follows sorrow and grief. The shape of her gas mask goggles mirrors this effect.
The older the scars, the more likely they are going to become black with a red rim, much like Fiadh's hands and feet are.
Her eyes are magenta due to the fact i actually really enjoy characters having magenta eyes, and it often is fun and looks really good when rendering the iris.
Her main shirt/hoodie thing is based on chemical clean-up crews from Russia. I chose this due to her being Russian and German, as well as her being in an apocalypse setting, meaning she would need at least some protection from such things.
Her shoulder, knee, and wrist guards are actually stolen from United Regional Enforcement Patrol (UREP) forces. This group is a brutal and destructive force used by those of higher status to scare and kill civilians into submission. Fiadh, being part of a group known to kill them, had easy access to things like stolen armor and weapons.
Things like her belt and the straps of her armor are actually seat belts Fiadh found in a scrapyard that worked how she needed them to.
Her gloves are made from material from her pants. Due to them being from a scavenged item, they did not originally fit her, so she had to resize them and used the extra material for her gloves.
The sash across her chest, originally for holding weapons, now has a detachable little pouch that holds her shadow cat Misha (a common nickname for pets) who can take the form of Fiadh’s desired weapon and help support her ankle.
Her military boots were either bought from someone who had spares or, once again, found, stolen, or scavenged for.
Pt 2 will follow shortly after this one. It will include the experimental drawing, ref, and a plan for a future drawing.
I am still struggling to draw but trying to get back to it. But I want to post 😭. So here are two older pieces which are of a new character. I am most likely not going to post on all my socials as I found it draining and it was acting more like a task. So, I am only posting on Tumblr for now.
But first is Fiadh, who is a newer character, and this was the first concept I made for her. She does breathe an ice smoke/mist and wears a gas mask (I have to find a specific type of gas mask). She has magenta eyes that are light sensitive. The black smudge of face paint is to distort shadows through the lens (if that makes sense) and for looks. I am still trying to figure her out, honestly.
