“I might stop doing it altogether.”
That was a lie, and both of them knew it. He wasn’t actually trying to blackmail Brick, really - it was a harmless attempt to get Brick to take some care of himself again, starting with shaving. Brick could do whatever the hell he wanted with his body, Noah just needed him to start caring again.
“Want me to do it for you?” Yeah, bulletproof way to cut Brick’s throat - if there was one thing the sea couldn’t do? It was handling a knife without accidentally spilling blood.
“Oh no, Noah will try his damnedest to keep his damn hands to himself. What can I do to keep him doing something so God awful?”
The sarcasm was strong with this one. If there was anyone, it was him who seemed so anti affection, so easily comfortable with no touching at all. It wasn’t true, but he sure played the role well.
“I wouldn’t trust you to make me a ham sandwich Noah, and that’s just the truth.” He rubbed at his face, felling the rough knotted hair there. It was bad, but then again, he was always one to go above and beyond the call of sulking. “Why does it matter Noah, really?”
