My ancestors in Ireland have been subjugated and enslaved and abused for many iterations of power structures and societal systems. In the past they used a runic alphabet that harnessed the power of the forest and the earth to communicate and channel their deep spiritual connections to the land. This alphabet is commonly known as Ogham. Here I’ve transposed a stone carved with the word “saoirise” the Irish word for Freedom.
