We need to be enthusiastic about things and feel eager about it but in order to guard our emotions, we should never expect. It may happen but it may also not meet our expectations and could just lead to a heartbreak. So better yet, don’t expect anything.

When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming someone who does not look at the price when buying things. For my childish mind, someone who is literally that rich to just get anything and pay for it. Now that I grew older, I realized, I never wanted to be that person; that no matter what, I would always look at the price tag. I realized, I don't want to be that impractical; and I can never be.

My parents taught me to look at the price tag whenever we go to grocery or department stores. When I see something delicious or so cute that I really want, my Mama would always tell me to look at the tag and assess if we can afford it; if not, put it back from where you got it. Never have I thrown tantrums in the mall or else where only for a toy.

At my young age, I was taught not the value of money but the means of necessity. Managing my expenses today is not easy at all, but as I remember how my parents raised me, things don't turn easy, but I become wiser. Sometimes I tend to become impractical but rest assured I have had planned things through. And at the end of the day, one thing's for sure, I will always look at the price tag!
