I remember when I was in preschool there was this little play activity station thing. It had separate compartments lined up next to each other. There was one with water with some floating ducks and stuff in it, one with like, seeds or something (I can't remember I just remember the smell of it was seed-like), and one with sand, complete with all the tools to make sand stuff.
I took a bucket from the sand area, filled it with the water from the water area, and then just DUMPED the whole thing into the sand, making everything a wet, dirty mess. It was all over the place and I was just having the time of my life.
The teacher walked up to me, bent down, and in the nicest, most obviously holding-back-her-anger voice, said "sweetie, we don't do that."
I just looked at her dead in the eyes with pure confusion and went, "but we're not doing it! I'm doing it!"
