Artie... Hello..... I'm not usually super into fan music, but I wanted to share that I found this fansong for a hypothetical Seam battle and I have been OBSESSED with it, and hopefully you will like it too :D
It also has, even moreso than your posts already did, convinced me that a Seam boss battle for the Pure Crystal should be imminent, and in fact, I need it like I need air. Do you have any beautiful visions for what you'd want in a Seam fight?
THAT SONG FUCKS SEVERELY!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT WOW the instrumentation calling back so much to Lantern really creates such a cool unique feel for a battle track and I love the slower segments, somehow they really convey the personality of Seam saur well. The twinkly segments really feel like the embodiment of Toby's comment about Seam's magic being like dusty stars. God its So Freakinge Good.
It just makes SENSE that we would fight Seam, for realsies. Every shadow crystal so far has been locked behind a super hard boss fight, and the notion that Seam (who has been hyped up as super strong) is just gonna give us the pure crystal no questions asked? After being soooo pushy about taking our shadow crystals? No way dude.
Actually, before ch5 released, some of my friends and I were so into the idea of a Seam battle that we were coming up with ideas for a hypothetically Seam battle fangame!! At the time we imagined it would use purple soul mode, but now that's off the table (shoutout Pink), I definitely still have some strong visions for it...
Moreso than using a classic blue soul mode, I think it'd be sick AF if the battle is like a medley of all the soul modes we've gotten up until this point. Is this because I'm attached to some of my Seam purple mode ideas? Perhaps. No Comment. (One idea I had was for an attack called "ladder stitch," where Seam would sew together the purple lines and then seam-rip them back open, forcing you to play rapid hopscotch on the shifting amount of lines). But seriously a medley would really feel so earned after all the cool ass secret boss soulmodes.
SEWING IMAGERY!!!! I really want to see Seam break out the Seam Ripper (of course. and perhaps make that the weapon you receive after defeating them), but also just having their bullet patterns using sewing stuff would make such cool theming with pins, sewing needles and threat, other craft supplies... simply awesome stuff.
I'd also love to see the return of some RNG and interesting progression mechanics a la Jevil. For my hypothetical fangame, I made a table of random effects applied from party members drawing unique tarot cards for 7 turns (which yes, obviously symbolically represent their character arc during that coordinating chapter of the game).
More Seam backstory please please please please. I personally HC that Seam used to belong to Dess, so like. If we could bundle those together that would be coooooooooool.

Yknow it's so funny to feel like I've predicted certain aspects of this, in a way? Like my old post comparing Seam to Sans and Aradia Homestuck. One thing my friends have posited to me is that Seam was too nihilistic to fight us, and I've always thought it would take some HUUUGE dramatic mindset shift to make them want to fight again, much in the vein of Aradia godtiering and being alive again. And like. The way they're reacting so hopefully to the shadow crystals....... This is it!!!! This has gotta be it!!!!!!!
