Virginians for Safer Cannabis: Taking the Mic at City Hall.
There is something powerful about standing on the historic stone steps of Richmond City Hall to demand a higher standard for your community.
As a member of Virginians for Safer Cannabis, I’m proud to share that we held a successful press conference this week to address the restart of "Operation Vaporize" in Richmond.
The Mission:
We aren’t just talking about enforcement; we’re talking about protection. 🛡️ For too long, unlicensed shops have been allowed to operate in a "grey market" vacuum, selling untested products that put our neighbors at risk.
What We’re Fighting For:
• Transparency: Knowing exactly what is in the products sitting on RVA shelves.
• Accountability: Ensuring that businesses that follow the rules aren't being undercut by those that don't.
• Safety: Keeping harmful, synthetic, or unregulated substances out of our local retail corridors.
It was inspiring to stand alongside local leaders and fellow advocates who believe that a "legal" market must also be a safe one. Richmond is at a turning point, and we’re making sure the community's voice is the loudest one in the room.
The hustle for a safer Virginia continues. 🛡️🌿
