after years of being vaguely confused when I came across the measurement “a stick of butter” in recipes, today I learned that in the United States they sell butter in these skinny stick things:
it is literally a stick of butter. A STICK OF BUTTER.
i have literally never seen butter sold this way. each stick one only amounts to ½ a cup of butter AMERICANS PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT MY WHOLE LIFE WHEN I SAW THE PHRASE “A STICK OF BUTTER” IN RECIPES I WAS IMAGINING THIS:

When you parked the car he handedyou back your ice cream

“That was amazing,” he said,wiping his fingers

He reached for the cone and tookit too quick, causing some of the ice cream to fall on his pants

You began wiping the melteddessert off of his pants

Seven’s hips thrust forward as youwiped the napkin across his crotch area

Before you could take it anyfurther, you heard someone clear their throat

Seven’s twin stood in front of thecar with his arms crossed

so it’s your first date, and you guys went out for a movie and casual stuffs and he was nervous the entire time and kinda shaky, and he was stuttering every few words but it couldn’t have been any cuter
