Im planning to draw kara in all of her concept outfits as another way to celebrate her month!

So if im lucky I will finish them in April but i guess its fine IF I didn't catch up, I will continue in May it's not really a sort of challenge right? Right lol.

it's funny that @reiro02 happened to mention kara and markus nendoroids recently because i literally just started working on my no longer a secret project of customizing my own markus and kara nendoroids the same day that was posted.

i was gonna wait to post until they were in a more finished state but fuck it we ball so here's my progress:

rambles and alt outfit options below

kara's outfit needs some painting to match her in-game fits and i might try swapping out some of her outfit pieces with other ones to get a closer match but i think the base works out. i thought it would be easy to find an equivalent for kara's hair but it was shockingly difficult. i eventually found one tho and i would say its pretty dang perfect. only issue is that it's a bit too big for the face plate i used.

markus tho.... it's so difficult sourcing parts for him bc (1) he's bald/shaven head and (2) he's got darker skin. there are not many nendroids that fulfill one of these categories let alone both. (falcon was so so close but he's got built-in goggles on his face plate so it wouldn't have worked out). i had to deface a nendoroid face plate to transplant the front hairline so it needs some filling in and fixing still. was pleasantly surprised when i found an outfit that had the same color palette as markus' final fit AND the character had a matching skin tone to the face plate.

i do plan on repainting all of their faces once i get some practice in but i'm pretty happy with the ones i was able to find. (this includes connor bc he's missing his moles!!!!)

also, in case anyone wants to attempt to make their own custom kara and markus nendoroids here's the parts i used. (i bought everything from the chibi chop shop with the exception of raihan that i bought directly from the pokemon center website).

kara - face: anna (1627) - hair: genos (645) - shoulders: hatsune miku (2139) - body + arms: yui (573)

markus - face + hands: raihan roy (unnumbered) - hair: ryunosuke tanaka (945a)* - white hand: hinata (1021) - body #1: thorn (1679) - body #2: minato (1524) - legs for body #2: leorio (1416) *so i didn't realize that tanaka's face plate is different than other nendoroids because is hair is actually attached to his front plate instead of the front hairline being a separate plate like most nendoroids.... so i had to cut out the hairline from his face. it's not a perfect fit and still needs some other modifications to make it work
