there's something extra crappy about an intrusive thought attaching itself to your main hyperfixation. like you can't even avoid it because your brain has been relying on this thing for dopamine to the point where your every other thought circles back to it, but now, suddenly, every single time you think about it, that thought triggers the most disgusting imagery your brain can produce on such a short notice. this has been driving me insane for two weeks now and i don't know what to do about it but sit and hope that it won't stretch out for too long
