We really, really, really could use some help right now. Here are my paypal and venmo as well, if anyone can spare anything. Every single dollar will make a huge difference to us.
Here's some more details on the situation.
There's no running water in this house. I can't cook or wash dishes, I can't wash my hands after I go to the bathroom or take a shower after a long shift at work. Hell, just to brush my teeth, I’ve gotta pour one cup of water to rinse with, one cup to wash off my brush, and a third cup if I want to do mouthwash. And we're both disabled, so it's taking a lot of energy we don't have just to survive.
It takes energy to haul the laundry to a laundromat, and money each time just to get clean clothes for work. Energy to find meals to cook that don't need produce washed, and don't need a stove or oven or dishes that we can't wash. Energy to try and bathe, though baby wipes and hand sanitizer can only do so much. The house is always a mess and I feel gross literally 24/7.
Even if we could fix the water, there's a leak in the water heater, so it wouldn't be hot. And because of that leak we had to have the gas cut to the entire house, so the stove and oven are busted too. Even the flooring is falling apart! They fell thru it in the hallway and busted up their foot a couple weeks ago, and now there’s a spot in my room where it collapsed under the carpet. All we could do is cover the holes and try to keep warm every time it snows.
And then on top of it all there's the eviction court date this week. We've been trying to sell this place and move out for months, but the landlord keeps tacking on monthly premium fees, late fees, court filing fees. All that she wants paid before she will approve the sale so we can finally get out. I've spent up any savings I once had trying to keep up. I can barely get enough hours at work to keep the lights and wifi on. All this fighting to keep my shit together and I might not even have any shit to keep when it’s all over.
The few family members I have left can't help, and none of my friends have anything to spare either. And like… I’ve talked with my social worker, and applied to every low income housing/assistance program for my area, but most places around here are low on resources. I'm on at least a dozen waitlists for aid, but nothing has come through in over a year. I’ve applied to every job I could physically work, every place that's hiring in our area, but I haven't gotten a single call for an interview. I don't know of anything else I can do.
