We had an instance literally today at work that involved a man disregarding general respect for our service team and overstepping clear boundaries by taking photos of female team members just because he could, and we have yet another man placed high in the federal government who has behaved the same way and done far worse. Kavanaugh’s dirty laundry got aired to the entire country and he still wound up sitting pretty as a Supreme Court justice. What does this say to predatory men in America? They can continue to commit their crimes, undermine and harass or even attack women as they please, and evade consequence just like that.

I agree it’s a touchy subject. I also try to not use the whole “don’t get pregnant in the first place spiel” because when talking to a mother to be, it’s unfair and rude to them. It’s not productive I’d argue, so while I do agree that we should be pushing for stronger sex education, and such, telling that to an expecting mother is a bit much. That being said, denying a human the right to life you’ve given them I would argue is cruel. The option of adoption is always on the table, otherwise for those in poverty, there’s this organization called haven for hope in my city that offers aid to those in need. I argue that more organizations like that should be readily available.

You’re really gonna preach my own history to me, mate? And no, in the eyes of the law at that time, we WEREN’T people at all, we were treated, seen and handled like property.
