🍃 The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a Kickstarter-funded project currently in development. Due to the scope of the story, we will be releasing it serially over several years to Steam and Itch.io, and discounting it while in early access. The earlier it's bought, the cheaper it will be overall, and you'll only need to buy the game once!
🍂 Not all routes are currently available! As of Nov. 1, 2024, you can play half of Shae and Maeve's routes; both approximately 50k words. If you're not sure about paying for an unfinished game, feel free to check out our free demo first. It consists of Vol. 1, Book of the Traveller (the pre-route content). Differences between the demo's Vol. 1 and the paid game's Vol. 1 are marginal following our August 1, 2024 re-release of the demo.
🍃 Due to its setting, The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) will occasionally feature instances of characters speaking in Gaeilge, i.e. the Irish language. All instances of Gaeilge are linked to an internal translation tool, which is voiced by Nigel McKeon, a Gaeilgeoir.
🍂 The main character is yours to shape. At minimum, you must choose a nickname, pronouns, and one of four default appearances, the last of which can be your own artwork (instructions are included in the game's files). You may also choose to discard the True Name…
🍃 All routes, both current and upcoming, will have both romantic and platonic choice options. If you're uninterested in romance, feel free to make friends instead! No matter the nature of your relationship, you will still be able to reach the good end. Or the bad one.
🍂 Our cast consists of two men, two women, and two non-binary characters. All are romancable no matter the MC, but some characters are asexual or on the aromantic spectrum, which may impact aspects of their romances.
🍃 If you are a Mac user and are having issues launching the game via the Itch direct download, refer to this guide for troubleshooting before sending us an ask. We strongly recommend purchasing the game through Steam instead of Itch if you are a Mac user; it is the best way to avoid issues with launching the game.
🍂 NDM is very intentionally set just prior to the onset of the Great Famine, which is both thematically and textually relevant to the leftist, anti-imperialist story we're aiming to tell. If you would like more insight into this, refer to this post.

🧵 Moirai Myths is a five-person company based out of Canada. The core devs/founders go by Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. All writing and programming are done by this collective, i.e. the Fates.

I know it’s in a bad quality but could you find who have a similar facial features other than choi twins?
I mean aside from their hair/eyes color and parting bang they share a similar face shape. I mean I can’t say Jumin and Zen are related or V and Yoosung related cause their facial feature are different but look at this raw edit of mine…
Alright, so after looking very closely at the CGs, I found even more evidence. Take a look at this:
Almost all of Jumin and Mr. Kim’s facial features match up where the Chairman’s doesn’t.
Now Mr. Kim looks like his eyes are squinted, but even with that you can tell the pointed and slanted parts of their eyes are exactly the same.
Their noses are completely identical as well. The direction of Jumin’s nostrils don’t match in the above CG, but they do match Mr. Kim’s in the CG where he’s having lunch/dinner with Chairman Han. (I didn’t really check the rest bc I wanted to get this out as soon as possible lol)
Even their rather displeased frown matches.
Chairman Han has a rather large nose, actual lips if you look close enough (Mr. Kim and Jumin don’t seem to really have lips or even an indication there), and softer almond shaped eyes. Presumably Jumin and Mr. Kim’s noses point upwards since you can see their nostrils, but you can’t see the Chairman’s nostrils. The Chairman’s eyes also are slightly tilted, but Jumin and Mr. Kim’s eyes are straight and flat at the very bottom (I’m bad with descriptions but I hope you understand this?)
It could be that Jumin’s mother gave him most of his features (I mean, we don’t know what she looks like) but if you ask me

I noticed their hair are the same hairstyle but different bangs direction.
But did you know Mr.Kim has the same damn hairstyle compare than Chairman’s hair????
I also did the editing that I FLIPPED just to see if their face shape are the same (idk if it’s coincidence the artist drew or that’s how the drawing style).

Since y’all have come this far and seems to be interested in this #KIMGATE hell. I’d like to share my and the squad personal findings.
Let’s take a look…
First, back to Mr. Kim (V’s dad). If some of you has been playing another story, you know that V’s dad doesn’t really care/not interested about his own son, V.
Why? Maybe because he is the son of his late wife who actually he didn’t love at all. It’s been explained in the V route itself from V’s mom that their marriage was just business. Jumin surprisingly get along so well with V’s dad, in the later/earlier chatroom I forget V told him that his father is pragmatist and then Jumin made comment “Then it would be so much easier because I am also a pragmatist”. So based on this we could conclude that they kinda share the same personality which they don’t share with their own dad/son.
Then after this Jumin suggested that the four of them should having meal together like the old times. Actually he just want V to brighten up.
Based on the conversation, V’dad quickly agreed with Jumin’s suggestion without much complaints despite maybe he actually doesn’t want to meet V. But why he can’t just say “No” to Jumin? Was it because they still have some business/deal together? Which seems more unlikely because I don’t think Jumin would just cancel the deal if Mr. Kim reject his suggestion. Jumin is not a person who would mix personal and business matter because it’s not professional and not-so-like-him. Or was it for a different reason; like V’s dad didn’t want to upset his favorite “son”? I mean let’s be real V’s dad treat Jumin like his own son more than his own. Who knows.

At this point, it will get little angsty. So if V and Jumin are really half brothers, we know that V never experienced a father’s love because Mr. Kim seems to only cares about Jumin, while Jumin has been loved by both Mr. Kim and Mr. Han. However Jumin never know how mother’s love would feel since his bio mom left him since he was very young, while V learned that his mother always love even in her death. Does it sound like a tragic complementary for each other?

Second, about Jumin and V share a very similar facial features. Some of you have done an amazing job of finding it on your own even make an analysis about it I feel like crying I am proud of y’all 😂😂

It’s crazy that 3.5 years later, I found myself reading your Mystic Messenger fic again - and that an update for it happened in May of this year. I feel like a different person now but part of me is still in this, I guess. But so are you. So, it’s cool to think we always have a little place to come back to. I don't remember if you played obe yme but they're releasing a new game apparantly thats like supposed to have their prequel story??? Its weird and whatever love I had for the main game just kinda dwindled (ive read the entire story so far and while its not the best I had some fun) like I can't find an ounce of excitement for this actually cause I just don't see the point of it? 🤨 other than money
I did play obey me for a little bit but i got bored lol i knew the story was never going to be that serious, but it was such a pain in the ass having to constantly level up for those monotonous dance off games, and at the end of the day most of the event stories were about as substantive as the main plot lmfao i haven't heard anything about the prequel though, but that seems kinda weird for the kind of game obey me was/is. But yeah, obey me and probably any other game that company produces is going to be primarily focused on making money. Mobile otome is just kinda like that, sadly. I'd recommend getting into indie visual novels / otome if you're looking for creators who make games for the passion of storytelling, bc 99% of indie devs are not turning a profit 😂
Ive like, passed day 100 with teo and while not actually a lot of references to MM i still roll my eyes whenever i see the smallest mention of it. Cherit(zand fans) let go of MM challenge 🙄 harrys route released filled with bugs ofc :) people have claimed his route is better (though more expensive) but i havent gotten as far so i cant say yet, he seems more fun though. (People have ofc, compared him to jumn) Honestly i just wish the app could stand on its own without having mm dribbled into it every month. Like i dont want them to share universe you feel me?

anyway yeah that's understandable. And it doesn't speak much to cheritz's confidence in their own product. For a game as large as the ssum is i hear remarkably little about it. Imo i think cheritz really jumped the gun trying to make lightning strike twice but without rly understanding why people got so invested in mysmes. The real time mechanic was a huge part of it but if the pacing was slowed out by a YEAR like ima be real i dont think anyone wouldve had the patience.

Soo… been hearing the SSum is mediocre, ok, not really worth the hype. :/ Kind of sad because I’ll admit it did look promising from what I saw in the trailer.
Yeah I played the demo a few years back and then played the first like 5 days of the official game and it's, just, kinda boring ngl. Plus all the micro transaction-blocked stuff was disappointing to see. CGs are blocked, a lot of dialogue options are blocked, you can't see Teo's social media stuff without subscribing some ludicrous amount a month... not great, folks. Especially since (at least from what I've seen) the story is kinda meandering.
Been playing the ssum and yeah its fine, im enjoying it enough so far. But one things for sure I am staying away from any of the topics that mention mm, not a lot of critical thinking there ive noticed. (Do wish the planets werent filled w mm all the time tho but i hardly use them anyway)

I do periodically look at the ssum tags to check out the vibe but from what i can tell it's remained very slice of life with like a billion mysmes references to keep old fans hooked. Kind of sad tbh like this was clearly a massive investment but cheritz still feels the need to shoehorn mysmes in there. Makes me wonder how much the sporadic mysmes stuff is carrying the game for some folks :")
