I would like to raise awareness to the parents or children affected by the "care system." Talk about the issues that every parent or child faces as a result of being adopted or fostered (as a child or the parents view)

The misconceptions that have been mad against parents of children who have been adopted needs to stop. For example I myself have been in care and also have two sons in care. Some people who I choose to tell can often give me uneasy looks... Either of embarrassment, disgust, shame... So my message for today is this......

People who have children in care aren't always to blame. They will not harm your children so dont assume their children are in care because they have put them at risk. Instead of judging, take time to understand why and how this can happen to anyone... Social services and local authorities are tarring parents, making them feel like failures... They don't need anyone else joining in on that type of negativity!! Encourage parents and children of families affected by the care system to be accepted as Normal human beings... #wehavefeelings
