‘ cats sleep an average of twelve to sixteen hours a day, ’ she muttered, really to anyone that was willing to listen at this point as her eyes were focused on the dark lines her fingers were rubbing against on the white sketching paper, fingers blackened from the lead. ‘ i envy that — must be nice to lounge around all day, not have responsibilities and really live the good life in a loving home. ’
remi’s mouth falling ajar and her head slinking backwards, letting out a sigh loud enough to fill the room, “another one of these rants again?” she whined, then, taking a moment to actually process the words that just left bonnie’s mouth. her brows rising ever so slightly as she brings herself to respond in a much more playful tone, “maybe — if you didn’t spend so much time brooding you could conjure up just as much sleep as a cat.” leaning down with each word so that her face is in the way of bonnie’s sketching papers, a goofy smile spread across her face, beaming back up at her.
gratitude and trepidation swell through molly’s conscience as she takes a step forward, gauging the relatively inviting nature of the girl behind the wheel, and eventually mutters, “ you’re not gonna, like, dump on the side of the road and off me, are you ? ”
“Geez,” the girls comment causing the corner of remi’s mouth to curve into a smile as she settles herself into the driver seat of her car “do i look that terrifying? But to answer your question, no. sweetheart. I didn’t plan on dumping you anywhere but your destination. remi by the way.” extending her hand out to the girl before starting her engine.
“ alright, what’s it gonna take for you to give me a ride downtown ? my car’s falling apart, my dad says i need to call the mechanic myself, and i refuse to take any sort of public transportation, so i’d say you’re my only hope in this mess. ”
Remi’s overly decorated car keys quickly halted their obnoxious jingling in the door of her baby blue Ford Escort tuning in to the girls sentence after a couple of words and realizing she was speaking to her. “well if you absolutely refuse,” she said mocking the girl playfully “I’m in no rush, so why the hell not? hop in.”
James leaned back against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, a cigarette in one hand and a glass of his favorite whiskey in the other. As it always was on a Friday night, the Tangerine was packed. The performer onstage was singing her heart out, people were happily tipsy, and up to that point there were no fights.
He watched someone step up to the bar alone and, feeling content and social, he moved to take a seat by them. “Hey Joe, this one’s on the house,” he called to his bartender for the evening, pointing his thumb in the direction of the customer. “To celebrate the end of the week.”
Remi was definitely tired after a long day at work, she’d been working more shifts than usual lately but she wasn’t complaining she loved working at buckley’s but it was surely an energy drainer. She’d been looking forward to being at the Tangerine all day and couldn’t wait to kickback and enjoy the music and a few drinks. She continued checking out the scene while nodding her head to the live performer and glancing around until her gaze was stopped to her right as she noticed a face she saw often at the Tangerine moving in her direction.
After hearing his proposition she let out a small bit of laughter “WOW..I mean hey i’ll never turn down a free drink,” shooting him a small smile then turning back towards the bartender “Gin on the rocks please.” Watching as the bartender walked away to take care of her order, she moved her attention back to the kind soul with a coy smile on her face “So however will I repay such a generous gesture?”
penina had pushed open the door into buckley’s with a vague sense of dread - she knew it was going to be packed, but really, the sheer number of people in the small record store was just excessive. she had specifically waited to pick up the new beegee’s album until just before her shift in the hopes that she would catch the store at a quiet moment. it wasn’t that she particularly disliked crowds as she was attempting to avoid having to deal with people for as long as possible - her eight hour shift would be more than enough social interaction for one day. “ it’s a popular release, “ she pointed out with a shrug, leaning to pluck one of the freshly-laid out vinyl’s from remi’s newly-crafted display. “ i’m guessing you’ve already listened to it? “
“popular is an understatement, I’m used to our regulars popping in for new releases but the bee gees really hit it off for buckley’s this go round.” stepping aside from the display and crossing her arms as she quietly rambled on about the intensity of the day. She was going on so much that she realized she had totally passed over the question, quickly throwing on her work-friendly attitude and diverging back into the proper conversation “but yes, I’ve listened to it plenty of times and I usually don’t buy the new vinyls right off the bat but this one I had to stash a copy away for myself, its just too good, you’ll love it.”
Dani had a thing for music, much like most people she knew. But beyond Fleetwood Mac and Frank Sinatra, there was only one band that really got her excited. And that was the Bee Gees. So naturally, she was at Buckley’s the day she knew they were finally getting new records in. The bin had been empty for a while so she’d just been wandering around, listening to people, taking quotes about the music scene in Ellis. And then one weary looking employee stepped out with a pile of vinyls. Dani hurried over to where they were being displayed, face lighting up at the offer. “Yes, please,” she chirped. “I was hoping you’d have more.”
Remi placed all but one of the vinyls into the bin, turning around to see an extremely sweet face to match the voice, she flashed the customer a smile and softened her demeanor almost instantly. “Here ya go.” handing the vinyl over. “Sorry about snapping.” she pleaded as she pushed her hands through her hair. “Its been a super hectic day but the Bee Gees will do that to people, if you’re a big fan you’ll love this, I’ve listened to it in the back at least 6 times.”
“Gosh..I need to smoke” she thought to herself. Remi was finishing up her shift at buckley placing and organizing the new 15 copies the store just got of the brand new bee gees vinyl ‘you should be dancing / love so right’. This was her busiest shift in awhile, new music always got the store bumping, which excited her because she loves giving music suggestions but also stressed her out to no end. Excusing herself past customers she got to the bee gees bin and began placing the vinyls, she let out a small sigh feeling another customer standing quite close to her “This is the second round of these vinyls and they are bound to sell out just as quick as the first round, do you want one too?” she exclaimed without even turning around to look.

okay so. hola my sweet new frands. i’m gabby but I go by gg. i’m 19 yrs old and i’m on est. i took a pretty small hiatus from roleplaying and i’m so excited to finally get back in to it i’ve missed it so so much, i thought I'd be rusty, crusty and dusty when i came back but your sister is back in action and feeling great like she never left. remi is my fiery little bean who is unapologetically herself and i am so excited to do her some justice. but i am gonna shut my trap now and stop being a ramble heavy hot mess and get into the details about my twisted little fox.
✽ remi was born and partially raised in Venice beach, California her mom is originally from there and her dad moved to California attempting to live out the american business man dream that his father instilled into him but he is originally from ellis.
✽ her family picked up and moved back to ellis when she was about 12 years old, which she wasn’t happy about, but she was understanding because they moved due to the fact that her dad’s father got sick and could no longer run their small family truck driving business that he moved to California to expand in the first place.
✽ due to her father owning a business her family was pretty well off, but between the ages of 12-16 she was extremely embarrassed of this and never really claimed wealth and acted out with the “outcast” at school. i mean come on she was entering her preteen years in a new state and didn’t want to come off as a snob and her immature mind thought that this was the only way, so she got sucked into the party/rebel culture.
✽ although her parents were both pretty loving, her dad was always ripping and roaring so she was for sure closer to her mom.
✽ she also didn’t grow up around a lot of anger/fighting. her parents loved one another and that’s where she believes her small hidden hopeless romantic attitude stems from. she was raised in love. if her parents had any troubles, she definitely didn't know about it and still to this day doesn’t.
✽ she’s always considered herself a free spirit. as lame as it is, she for sure fits into the stereotypical groovy pothead type.
✽ as stated before, in high school she was a part of the outcast/rebels. she was popular to a certain extinct but for all of the wrong reasons. she was a super party girl and didn't do the best in school, mainly because she just didn’t care about it. why? because the people she hung around didn’t. but she is a super smart girl when she tries.
✽ her partying definitely did come to a halt for a bit in her junior year of high school, she went to a party with her usual group but met some guy from another school she was clearly smitten by him and felt an instant “trust” in him, he talked her in to taking a pill that he swore would hype up her night and her friends all seemed to be cool with the guy so she took it and ended up blacking out, she woke up the next morning with a sore pelvis and no pants on. this scared the hell out of her and caused her to take a small break, but with her being the follower she is, she fell back into the scene quickly. she never told her parents or friends about this encounter.
✽ her parents never approved of her friends simply because they thought they were really bad influences but they also feared conflict with their daughter so they would urge her to hang around her dad’s co worker’s daughters and sons but that just wasn’t her kind of people so those friendships always ended roughly and it reminded her why she hid that section of her life from people, she never wanted to end up like the rich kids her dad wanted her to hang around.
✽ she does have a slight drinking problem and she adores weed. her habits aren’t out of control, but it’s for sure a problem. she disguises it as just having fun but theres something deeper. yes she grew up in a great household but that does not equal happiness, especially with the personal situation she went through, she never fully recovered, sought out help or talked to anyone about it so she does have PTSD, though she doesn't know this because she’s completely ignorant when it comes to mental illnesses (lets not forget we r in the 70s because this was all written out so different then I realized how quickly what I was writing did not work bc the anti therapy era was 60s-70s (-: ), that’s why she doesn't understand why she acts the way she does or why she freaks out sometimes at parties and has to leave or take a moment to herself. She still parties but never leaves the side of someone she knows or finds a buddy for the night quick.
✽ she’s OBSEsSed with music! it’s what she lives for. name a band or singer you listen to and she’ll know almost every fact about them. she has a lot of self taught hidden musical talents. that's also why she works as a record organizer, she just wants to be surrounded by music at all times.
✽ she hates school but she went to college for one year to please her dad and then decided against it and decided to drop out. her dad was not at all happy about that, but her mom always enforced that she needed to be herself and do what makes her happy. (mainly bc her mom was LITERALLY just like her around this age and ended up just fine so she has a biased mindset).
✽ she’s such an impressionable girl, had she not been approached by the outcast first she probably would have been a part of a different crowd in high school, but she doesn’t have much of mind of her own. though she can influence people easily, she’s also easily influenced.
✽ she is such an extrovert.
✽ although she’s a lowkey hopeless romantic she finds a thrill in quick and easy hook ups. this also stems from her party culture.
✽ her real life of being well off and a product of a loving two parent home, is a huge secret even in to her current adult years because she doesn’t want people to question why she is the way that she is if she has what most would consider “it all”.
oOkay, so that was clearly all insanity and probably seems like a big ball of mess. but i swear it adds up guys and gals. HAHA. I'll have a proper bio made for her soon and her page will actually be in some kind of order soon enough. she’s basically the definition of 70s stone cold fox. that’s rly all. she’s a mess. i’m a mess, we relate. whatever.
I’m so down for ANY kind of connection so don’t be afraid to message me I'm so super nice and would love to have some!!!
