Remnant Echoes Information
So here’s the deal. I know a few of you have bought remnant echoes from me before. If you turned them into regular OCs rather than the orbs/gauntlets, then please disregard this message. If you kept them as Remnants, however, please read the following, as these are the new “rules” and features they offer, but first, an introduction:
A group of alchemist and witches/wizards have known for ages the souls of strong humans tend to linger in this world, lost and hopeless, but they found a way to bind the soul to small gems/orbs, dubbed Remnant Echoes.
These echoes hold a great deal of power, some stronger than others. The soul uses the magic-enhanced orbs to form not only physical bodies, but powerful abilities, however, the orbs would crack upon this power being attempted to use, and ultimately shatter. So, Gauntlets were introduced.
Magically imbued Gauntlets hold the orbs and allow the power to channel through without breaking it, also allowing the wearer, through a dark magic contract, to befriend and use the spirits power at will.
These Gauntlets and Remnants are sold as defense weapons and for companionship. The soul does not remember their past, and they take on an appearance based on their past lives and personalities, forming friendships with their new master.
These are Remnant Echoes.
So now the more important details, like prices of Gauntlets and Remnants, and other information:
Gauntlets come in 3 varieties: Small, Medium, and Large. The bigger the Gauntlet, the more slots for orbs it starts off with. A total of 5 slots can be on any Gauntlet at anytime. You can also upgrade Gauntlets for a small fee, and even purchase custom Gauntlets. And yes, you can buy a pair of gauntlets. One for each hand and more. They are not “permanently” attached to your hands, and can be switched with other Gauntlets you own. Only the Orbs are permanently attached to a Gauntlet, which I will explain in the next part.
Small: 10$-This includes Bracelets, Rings, and Half-gloves. Small Gauntlets can hold 1 orb. They can also be upgraded to hold more.
Medium: 15$- These are any type of Gauntlet that go to the half-arm, just before the Elbow. These can hold 3 orbs and be upgraded to hold more.
Large: 20$-These can go from the elbow and higher, to just over the shoulder. These hold 5 orbs and cannot be upgraded any higher.
Custom:
Small: 20$
Medium: 35$
Large: 50$
Add orb Slots: It is 10$ to add an orb slot to your gauntlet. After 5 orb slots on one Gauntlet, you cannot fit any more.
Color Change: 5$. The service of recoloring your Gauntlet is also available, though this is only available for Gauntlets currently being sold along-side Orbs. If you already own a Gauntlet and wish to recolor it, it cannot be recolored due to the gem already being set inside of it (the actual, not-story reason is because it is likely I no longer have the edit file for your Gauntlet, and cannot edit colors on it properly)
Orbs are the heart of your Gauntlet. One cannot work without the other. Orbs contain the soul of a fallen person who had a strong soul throughout life. Be it a noble hero, a serial killer, or even an everyday mother. A souls past-life is forgotten once they are put into the orb, and their new life begins. Their appearance is determined by the type of person they used to be, and their personalities.
Once your orb is permanently attached to your Gauntlet (Your orb cannot be removed once put on a Gauntlet) Their abilities will show themselves. Each ability differs per Remnant, and can be predicted by the person who makes the orb, so that is information that will be provided.
As people work better with someone with their personality traits, so do orbs. Putting two orbs together who are not compatible will weaken the orbs contained on your Gauntlet, but not much-so. If you wish for the most powerful Gauntlet, make sure their personalities match up.
While these orbs are there to serve their new master, it doesn’t mean they will always agree with you. They were human once as well, and have their own personalities. This doesn’t mean they won’t stop loving you or being loyal, but that doesn’t mean you should treat them as simply a tool. They are your companion. Show them respect and they will show you respect.
Orbs also require a downtime after using their abilities or physical manifestations. If you wish for your orb to retain it’s physical appearance or abilities for a longer duration, you’ll have to feed them. Each orbs feeding preference is different. One could crave Blood, one sweat, one just water, or even a physical connection between it’s master and itself. Feeding will usually add up to 2 hours more on their time.
Weakest: 20$-Most common type of orb and the smallest in size (not so for the physical appearance.)
Standard: 40$-Uncommon. Average size. (not so for the physical appearance.)
Strongest: 60$-Rare. Largest orb. Takes up more space on the Gauntlet. (not so for the physical appearance.)
Based on the strength of your orb, the more room it will take up on a Gauntlet, so you can’t have 5 Strong orbs on one Gauntlet.
So you can have 1 Strong orb and a Standard on one Gauntlet, or a Standard and 3 Weak, for example.
Orb Physical/Ability Strength
Based on the size of your orb, it can stay out or use it’s abilities for longer periods or shorter.
Weakest: Duration of up to 4 hours. 2 hours rest needed.
Standard: Duration of up to 8 hours. 4 hours rest needed.
Strongest: Duration of up to 16 hours. 8 hours rest needed.
