Intimidating at first, Dark Brooch will no doubt take some getting used to. They’re usually quiet, but will speak up when they feel they have something to add to the conversation. Beyond that, they love to stand in the shadows and just listen. They’ll go along with just about anything you decide, having no real preferences of their own. Don’t expect them to do a lot of activities beyond maybe reading a book or cooking, however. They aren’t one for such “childish” things. If you enjoy the thought of having a living shadow as a companion, this is the Orb for you.

the whole pet thing has me wondering... would Throk ever have something like an actual pet? and keep in mind i'm thinking of something more along the lines of a goldfish or or something.

Was actually recently talking with Haxuss about that. 

   Basically the Galra don’t really see the animals they keep as ‘pets’ but rather companions, both assisting each other and having a purpose and value as an asset (being emotionally attached is a bit of plus) Thus most companions fall into the categories of dangerous/predatory/a good asset (for example if someone had explained to Throk that cats are excellent hunters/vermin control as well as being cute/good house companion then he wouldn’t have tried to eat it), so things like goldfish are a rare thing and seen as mostly frivolous.

But to answer your question on whether or not Noodle would get something like a pet/companion I would have to say that he might but it’d be a case of accidentally getting something as he’s had no animal training and just doesn’t seem himself as being able to handle one. And no, he really wouldn’t care for things that he has to look that don’t really return the investment.
