Hello! This is a roleplaying blog for Krystal from the Star Fox series. I'm working on new rules and an about page for her, as the ones from 2015 leave much to be desired (and do not reflect how I wish to go forward, should I stay active). I do not intend to give away my internet alias just yet, so you can just call me Kry (she/her)! You can also find me at @krystalizedooc (for me making rp sf related posts) or @krystalizedreblogs (for me reblogging mostly sf art and posts so it doesn't take up my likes).
Rules are below until I can get things more properly set up.
As with anyone, please do not godmod or infomod, at least not in a way that is not congruous with your character. Discussion is key.
That being said, Krystal is a telepath whose abilities seem to always be somewhat active. She can read things such as: emotions, auras, and inner dialogue (if your muse is experiencing that in the moment). For ease of RP, her telepathy is limited, and she will only barge into your character's deeper thoughts with your permission. Please keep this in mind about her.
In addition to above, she can still infer the wrong things about what she sees and hears from surface level telepathy (such as emotions and easily detectable internal monologue).
Sexual discussion may come up on this blog. I am not as prudeish as I used to be, but I will not ERP here. At best, it will end in a fade to black. NSFW discussions will be tagged. Krystal herself is not likely to make sexual remarks. I will not engage in this topic with minors.
Let this blog's age attest to the fact that I am of age.
As for shipping: I ship chemistry, so please do not approach me asking to ship from the get go. If I do not see it building between our muses, I am not interested (ask memes exempted, but be prepared for an honest opinion).
I greatly dislike Fox/Krystal, so they would especially need chemistry in order for me to move forward with it. For the purposes of this blog, she is not in a relationship with him and never has been. She does like him platonically, but anything further must occur naturally.
As for Krystal being Peppy's "second daughter (adoptive)", that is also something I would prefer to play out naturally or be discussed.
I'm not accepting magic anons at this time. There isn't enough people to do it with.
OC friendly, but you need to have a basic about page.
"The problem with being game journalists, is that at worst, there's little journalism, and being sponsored by the companies and developers that the journalist is supposed to review can lead to bias and exaggeration. There's also the problem where the journalist isn't really suited for a game in question, so they might criticize aspects that a core audience would actually love, or praise aspects a regular person would dislike."
"Well, the last one who held the title of Game Master was amazing at playing video games. When he played, he wasn't really making a statement or an opinion, he was just playing for fun. and then he was recruited to be a captain of a team of heroes, going around the save realms."
"As for me, well..." There wasn't really a need for a team of heroes across the realms at the moment (as far as he knew). "Hero wannabe? Can't really call myself a leader, more like a freelance adventurer?" He didn't want to use the term mercenary knowing the stigma attached to it.
"... so they are paid hypemen, and not gamers? I see, I think..."
Krystal didn't have a lot of reference to what that actually looked like, but she understood well enough that their reputation was that of salespeople for game publishers and not investigative reporters for interested gamers. She wondered how they garnered such a reputation, or if it had always been like that. Whenever money was involved, that would always be a possibility. She still didn't quite understand the Game Master title, however, but she felt the topic was shifting away from that. How was one an avid gamer that played for fun, and yet ran around saving the realms? It seemed contradictory, but she chalked it up to her lack of context. Maybe time or eventual context would explain it.
Breannan's hesitation read to Krystal as unease and insecurity, and while that might be true, she did get the wrong impression as to how and why. Not digging any further, she offers a smile.
(( Been reading through Command scripts, and I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said by everyone else. Basically, I think it's better for its concepts more than its executions and that's probably how I'll apply it to this blog. ))
"Yeah?" He answers with a faint huff of a chuckle following short behind. "Window-shopping bars, huh? That's a new one."
His observation is dry but not sharp, the lupine rolls one shoulder while gesturing loosely into the interior of Sargasso's lounge. Wolf steps aside giving Krystal a clear path in rather than crowding her space, his posture fully relaxed, but still deliberate.
"Menu's decent, but the drinks are better." A beat. His single eye catching her pine green orbs. "Though some of them will knock you on your ass if ya don't know what you're doin'."
Wolf turns on his heel, the front of his body facing towards the bar, though he glances back over his shoulder towards the Cerinian. "If you're just testing the waters, though, I can point ya towards somethin' that tastes good instead of burnin' a hole through your gut. You can taste-test a few things, y'know, decide if ya hate it." Behind Wolf, his tail sways casually. "Up to you, Princess. No pressure."
And that's when a hint of that signature grin creeps back in.
"...And no more terrible jokes, I promise. I'll behave."
"Mostly?" Krystal asks in good humor, the smile remaining despite herself. "Be careful, Wolf, you're setting my expectations quite high. I want to see what escapes your quality control."
Now, Sargasso wasn't exactly Krystal's idea of a great place to be. The last time she was here, it had been as an enemy trying to locate Pigma. Perhaps Panther's flirtatious remarks were making her a little too comfortable setting foot in this territory. Then again, the only danger she truly encountered so far was Wolf's sense of humor. It was possible time loosened up the big bad wolf. It was also possible she was making excuses for everyone, including her bad decisions, but she wasn't going to back out now. She had been invited, and with no other ill indications, she took a seat. Now all she had to prove was that she definitely had alcohol at least once before.
Taste testing appealed to her the most, even if it might give away that she had no idea what she was about to consume. We was "window shopping", wasn't she? It was certainly plausible, and maybe she wouldn't have to ask what a cocktail is.
"I would like to try a taste test," Krystal finally answers. "I haven't been offered one before, sounds fun. What's the occasion?"
"Yes. Basically people who write about video games. They write about previews the games that are still being developed and then review them once the games are released to the public. At least that's the general concept." He paused there for a bit if Krystal had any questions or comments so far.
Krystal stares at him, absorbing this information. She was unaware video games were so important that they would get this kind of attention. Which leads to her next question...
"... and what is a Game Master? How are they better than game journalists?"
She is very invested in this topic, unaware of the negative stigma game journalists have garnered for themselves.
One of his tall ears turn towards the small laugh that escapes Krystal despite herself. Wolf is certain that the Cerinian is not at all thrilled with him for the stupid joke she has walked right into, and yet there's the proof on the contrary: that laugh, and is that perhaps, a hint of a smile?
Wolf cocks a brow, his famous grin twisting itself along his snout while his brain, much like a bored child looking for something to watch with the TV remote, quickly begins flipping through all of the potential remarks and follow up jokes he could make at the vixen's expense.
It's at the last second, though, the allegorical TV is turned off in his head. No, best not dig yourself a grave, O'Donnell. No need to test your luck.
The Star Wolf captain shifts his weight from one foot the other, still smiling at Krystal. "So, what brings ya 'round, Princess? You here for a drink or can I get ya somethin' to eat?"
Despite herself, Krystal found it difficult to hold any animosity toward Wolf. He had told a good joke, and was now following it up with a friendly interaction. It was hard to muster any hostility when she couldn't sense any ill will from him.
... not that she wasn't looking for it. Wolf O'Donnell, offering her something to eat or drink? She had to wonder if there was something behind that offer that she could see without delving too deeply into his mind. She had to focus on the interaction, after all.
"Well, I was scoping out a few bars to see if I would like to try their menu." She wasn't quite ready to admit she never had alcohol in her life, and that she was looking to try it for herself. "That's how I ended up here. I haven't seen what they have to offer yet."
Some long overdue fanart, decided by my waifu roulette wheel. Odds are she was part of your childhood giving you the butterflies.

Krystal hates this. Hates Wolf. Hates the fact that it was a good bit with a satisfactory conclusion that she both fell right into and then figured out naturally. It's everything she likes in a joke, except with a guy she has an inexplicable beef with. This is perhaps the worst conclusion she could have come to.
(( also while i love dinosaur planet, please don't send me too much regarding it at this time. i'm trying to find a way to play it for myself because that is how i would like to experience it after longing for it for over a decade ))
(( god i love krystal and her impulsive short temperedness so much. she charged at a guy twice her size (general scales) while completely unarmed because he was tormenting a caged prisoner. she grabbed her staff back from fox without a word to him amd tried to blast andross to death. she gets pilot training and uses it to cheerfully chase down oikonny's troops so she can explode them. panther notes she enjoys shooting aparoids and he's eager to enable it. deep down she WANTS to get her hands dirty. she wants to beat someone or something to death, she just needs a good justification for it. and with her hero complex, there sure are a lot of good justifications lying around. ))
“Who is responsible for the transliteration of the Saurian language?! Yes, proper nouns should be kept intact, but surely ‘General’ as a title would have a Saurian equivalent! Who created this nonsense?!”
I want to get some more use out of this blog, so maybe I’ll turn it into a “guilt-free” graphics and resource blog. First up is this work-in-progress batch of Krystal icons and graphics. Feel free to use anything in this folder as you see fit, and check back on this original post if the link ever stops working in someone else’s reblog, as it might have been updated.
All icons already cropped at 100x100 but contains some bigger sizes other uses.
Krystal opens her mouth to argue, then shuts it. She realized just in time that she does not wanting to bring back the topic of Wolf's various euphemisms to describe an unfortunately designed opening, or... whatever it was.
"... trick question. That's a trick question, isn't it?"
