Hey if you're bored.
You coooooulld check out my videos :D🍪
While ago I started a series I did'nt quite complete, and I wanted to attempt an expanded version of the previous piece.
WOOOHOOO WE MADE IT.
Let's pray this year is kinder to us👍
A background for a new video
I appreciate all the support and likes and follows from this series 🫂
I just wanted to apologise for not really continuing the drawing something pixel art challenge for month challenge...
But it's for a good reason...
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...
(And of course, everyone in between 👌)
I GOT A NEW LAPTOP!
With the intention of getting a drawing tablet sooner rather than later.
WHOOHOOO...
The whole premise of the series was for me to learn a new skill, which I have found, I like very much in the meantime. With the device of choice being my phone.
To be sincere, before my laptop broke down (😭"broke down" it's not a car), I was looking for a way to get into storytime animation and illustrations and came across pixel art.
An art style that had its own retro charm and friendly community who was willing to take me under its wing *Cough* It was easier to draw straight lines with it.
Overall
I enjoyed it and cherished it quite dearly, and I would love to continue it, but college is ramping up and I would love to continue to make silly youtube videos (I only made one, before the pixel art series, so it's some of my earliest drawings digitally in other words, it's not the best🤣)
I will make little updates here and there, so stay following.

DAY 8/9 - Pixel Art Series
Of learning how to draw pixel art on my phone since my touchscreen laptop stopped working randomly so I can't really practise with aesprite or other desktop alternatives but I get that primal urge to draw something and learn how to animate.
And no I do not have a drawing tablet, I know...I should probably get a job.
[Deep inhale]
Anyways...
About this piece
This my first time drawing more complex characters from in pixel art and at all! This was alot of fun and a lot harder than I thought.
I was often struggling to either make it visually in pixel art or make it accurate, which to a lead to a funny compromise which I'm surprisingly proud of - for a first approach 🤔
Stay tuned and follow for more!
DAY 6/7 - Pixel Art Series

Anyways...
About the pieces
Oh, yes...
let me just say...
We are getting fancy...
I would like to think of these as a collection called...
"Everything will be alright :)"
With the two pieces called "day break" and "night fall" - both bringing their own opportunities and challenegs but still finding a way to smile back at you :) - look at the arrangement of the stars closer/ look towards the bottom left on
Development
Just like the previous day, I was trying to learn how artists develop a sense of space by building a background.
In the piece on the left, I used shadows, shading and stuck to a monochromatic theme, which I found was quite fun. But it appears that using multiple shades of the same color felt easier to form. Personally, I felt that having a single color felt liberating to me and I would love to try it backgrounds where detail is not much of a necessity to save time.
I am still curious about how multiple colors could be handled to reflect a more realistic style in this medium 🤔
I'll save that for the future days.
