What Airview on the Galaxy S5 is and what it can do for you
The lowdown on what Airview can do for you and how you use it
Airview isn't new to the Samsung Galaxy S5, but it's a really useful feature that you may or may not be aware of. In simple terms it allows you to get a preview of certain types of content without having to actually touch the display. Simply hovering your finger over the screen will activate the Airview windows.
It's pretty neat, it can be pretty useful and it's extremely easy to use. Head on past the break to see how.
How to activate Airview
Let's start at the very beginning. Airview isn't enabled on your Galaxy S5 by default, so you'll need to turn it on before you do anything. Head into the Settings menu and scroll down as far as the section which is labelled "Motion." There you'll find a menu item for Airview, so just head in there and flip the toggle in the top right hand corner.
This menu also gives you a preview of what to expect from Airview ...
What you can do with Airview
As we've already mentioned, Airview lets you see inside some of your phone's content without touching the display. You can simply hover a finger over certain items. It's a neat trick, but it can definitely improve your experience. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect and from which apps:
S Planner: Samsung's calendar app lets you use Airview to expand scheduled events just by hovering your finger over your chosen dates. You're able to see a complete schedule of a day's events without having to keep tapping. Just move your finger around and breeze through your calendar.
Gallery: Airview allows you to get a preview of your different folders within the stock Gallery app. The 9 most recent images in any one of those folders will be shown to you in a 3x3 grid.
Video Player: Hovering your finger over the progress bar in the stock Video Player app allows you to preview scenes from the video and see the elapsed time without having to scrub through your video.
Phone: If you're forever forgetting who you've assigned to speed dial numbers, Airview has your back. Hover your finger over the numbers and you'll get a little popup telling you who it's assigned to and what their phone number is.
So, not totally system wide support but Airview definitely has some applications that can make navigating your Galaxy S5 that little snappier.

How to turn on and off location in the Samsung Galaxy S5 camera app
Something important to many of us when we're taking photos on our smartphones is that the location information of that photo isn't recorded. On the flip side to this there's a bunch of people who absolutely want location information attached to their photos. Fortunately on the Samsung Galaxy S5 enabling and disabling the location tags for your photos is a breeze.
Here's how to do it:
Open up the stock Samsung Camera app on the phone
Look for the Settings 'Gear' icon and tap on it
On the grid of settings that presents itself scroll down a little until you see "Location tags"
Tap to enable/disable as desired!
And that's it! From now on your photos will either be location free or tagged accordingly.

Ten hidden controls of the iPhone headphones
The iPhone headphones (or any headphones with a mic and remote) can control your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch in up to 10 different ways.
It's never too late to discover that those boring, all-white headphones Apple threw in with your iPhone can do a lot more than adjust the volume.
In fact, any headphones that include a remote (or have a remote adapter attached) can be used to control your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch in up to 10 ways.
Thanks to this post by Business Insider, here are all the ways you can use your headphones as a remote controller, allowing you to perform useful functions without taking your iDevice out of your pocket.
If you're listening to music, toggle pause or play by tapping the center button once.
To fast-forward a song, tap the center button twice and long-press on the second tap.
To rewind a song, tap three times and long-press on the third tap.
To skip a song, double tap.
To go to the previous song, triple tap.
If you have an incoming call, tap the center button once to answer. Tap again to hang up.
To ignore an incoming call, long-press the center button. You'll hear two beeps to confirm that the caller was sent to voice mail.
If you're on the phone and you get a new call, tap the center button once to switch calls. To end that new call, hold the center button down for 2 seconds.
You can achieve supersteady shots by using your headphones as a shutter release. Tap the volume-up button to capture a photo.
For iPhone 4S owners: prompt Siri by long-pressing the center button.
Update your facebook privacy settings
Click Account in the top right corner of the Facebook window and then click Privacy settings to adjust who is capable of seeing what on your Facebook profile. We highly recommend going through all the privacy settings to verify your privacy is properly protected.
Anything that is not set to friends only or friends of friends can be seen by anyone searching on the Internet. Below is a few things we recommend for most users.
Under Search in Privacy settings uncheck Public Search Results. This will prevent users from finding your account and profile picture in search results such as Google
Under Application settings, make sure you're only allowing applications you want to have access to your information. Applications that you grant rights to can have access to your Facebook profile information.

Create a unique Facebook profile picture
At the top of your Facebook profile, you'll see the five most recent pictures containing a picture of you. You can use this section of your profile to make a more unique and original profile picture by extending the main profile picture into these recent pictures. As seen in the picture this profile takes a larger image and spreads it from the profile picture into the recent pictures across the top.
This can be accomplished using the free Pic Scatter online tool. With this tool, you can upload any picture and adjust the picture to be shown in the profile section, the top five images, and even the wall.
Notice When using this technique any time you or a friend tags you in a photo it will be posted in the top section of your profile ruining this effect. To keep this effect, hide any new photo by clicking the x that appears when hovering the mouse in the top right-corner of the picture.
