please wear sunscreen!!! I've seen "fuck the beauty industrial complex" posts about complicated skincare regimens and am 100% with them except sometimes they mention sunscreen and no. no. absolutely not. sunscreen is a wonderful supportive friend who wants to keep you safe, and you should let her do it. throw out all your other cosmetics and skincare products if you want, but keep your sunscreen. and if you're not wearing sunscreen, start wearing it!!!! this is not about terror of aging, this is not about every tiny imperfection our fucked-up culture has made you feel insecure about, this is about protecting yourself from skin cancer. wear the damn sunscreen.

I hope one day we talk about how similar Astrid and Toothless are, I can even say their character arcs in the first movie are kinda the same.

Two distrustful, proud beings who reject the idea of letting their guard down and showing weakness. They built up their walls and push anyone who tried to break through them.

The difference is that while Astrid had comunity and therefore a duty to protect her people, Toothless was independent and relied on no one but himself.

They are both rejectful at Hiccup at first, both tried to get rid of him and avoid every interaction because of their own avoidant nature and ego, always prioritizing their own independence and reputation, Astrid during dragon training, trying to protect her spot as the best of the class in order to become an official viking warrior and Toothless when Hiccup gave him his prosthetic tail and tried to get rid of him, trying to put an end to their temporal alliance to go back to being feared.

Yet it was Hiccup's audacity, insistence and worldview that ultimately softened them and let them be the children they really were all the time.

Both had to realize that there was more in life that being what they thought they had to be in order to survive.

Very different from what I usually post/draw,,, ermmm

Just something I wanted to throw together,, Didn't wanna make everything "perfect" this time, and I just kept it all a sketch and uhh,, yeah. I'm not very good when it comes to metaphors sooooo,,, shrug It was nice to draw animals for a change :]

It's a good break from just humans- and I got good anatomy practice out of it :3

Of course, it's still somewhat anthro- at least the rabbit and hare upfront. Sorry, I just dunno what to say about this piece,, I think the title and tags are self-explanatory</3🥹
