Professor, why does everyone say that Hufflepuffs are stupid?

Not everyone says that, anon. I suppose Gryffindors and Slytherins make themselves well-known. The fighting always seems to be strongest between these two houses. No one house is more intelligent or less intelligent than another.

It's always delightful to see more students, but honestly, it would be quite nice to see a few people closer to my age, as well! Perhaps a professor or two, or just another adult could join me so I don't feel like the old, odd man out among these young people?

Professor Lupin! I just wanted to let you know that you are a truly wonderful person despite what anyone thinks! I'm a rather large admirer of you, your courage, and your ability to inspire. :)

Thank you, that's very kind. I think anyone has the potential to be truly courageous, and inspire through their bravery, hard work, and good deeds. So honestly, I'm nothing special, but if others see me as a decent role model to set a good example for them, and through them to others, then I could not be happier.

I just wanted to let you know that you are, by far, one of the best Professors Hogwarts has ever seen. You are intelligent, selfless, amazing, down-to-Earth, polite, patient (very important when dealing with teenagers), and, above all, have a sweet tooth (always important)!! You are Siriusly inspirational, not only to myself, but also to many other people!! P.S. I love your hair/eyes! :)

Well, now I really am blushing. Thank you very much, truly. It means so much to know I am making a difference in the life of at least one young person at this school. I could not imagine being anywhere else doing anything else than teaching here at Hogwarts.

Good afternoon, Professor! I'm not very good with my words some times, so I'm going to try my best... What are you supposed to do when you are... well, picked at for being intelligent? I've always got my nose in a book and it doesn't seem to be getting me any thing except grief from my fellow students, even my supposed "friends". They don't understand me. I wish I had friends like the Marauders were.

I understand what it feels like to be teased or taunted for being different, and no, it's not easy. All I can say is one day, this will all have been worth it. You should take pride in your achievements, and in your intelligence. Someday, after you've left this place, you'll be able to do whatever you set your mind to. Intelligence is something to be treasured, and just between you and me, I have a feeling these people who have been giving you a hard time are probably not nearly as smart as you are.

And I think you would be surprised that there are more kids out there just like you than you might think. You're not alone.

Hello, Professor! I'm doing a poll, and I was wondering: What's your favorite spell to use? For anything, really. Thanks!

I think someone asked me this recently. I would have to say Expecto Patronum has always been a fascinating spell for me. Of course, the Riddikulus charm has its merits as well.
