“Fair point, but I’m not. Blame my mom, the doctors told her I was a girl and she was so set on the name Parker she named me it anyway.”
“That’s something any serial killer would say. Why can’t your father make it for the holiday?”

“Fair point, but I’m not. Blame my mom, the doctors told her I was a girl and she was so set on the name Parker she named me it anyway.”
“That’s something any serial killer would say. Why can’t your father make it for the holiday?”
“I was a serial killer do you really think I’d be in college, studying and taking care of my sisters? And my name is Parker.”
“Probably, who looks for serial killers in an arts college. I knew a girl knew Parker once, never a guy though.”
“Yeah, I’m not that way. Don’t get me wrong but–I do try my hardest to get main roles in plays but–even when I don’t get them, I don’t get upset. Because that’s just how show business is. You’re right. It really doesn’t. You can’t pitch a fit and expect everything to be handed to you.”
“What type of plays do you enjoy then? Are there many different types, I don’t really know if musicals fall under genres.”
“Turns out the old man can’t make it for Christmas this year…which means I’m spending the majority of it on my own…unless you wanted to join me?”
“I don’t even know your name, for all I know you could be some serial killer who allows people to take them into their homes on Christmas every year and then, well you know.”
Have you ever accidentally set fire to yourself?
“Once or twice, when I was much younger. But I am vary careful in my practices, I can assure you. I do still have a scar on my foot from once incident.”
“I love them. Yeah, I agree on that. Gods no! I’m far from a diva. I may be plucky and all but, a diva? Not something I can ever be.”
“Too many people I have worked with, they all want to be in charge of everything. But they don’t know what they’re doing, it doesn’t work like that.”
Gabriel had gotten used to moving through motions in his own house with both his parents hardly being present. It was hard to deal with emotions outwardly when there was no one around to deal with them and he began to hide them away like prized possessions. It wasn’t until his family has found him, did they begin to make a world where emotions were on the forefront. Feeling the girls arm, he looked at her slowly. “If I dont pretend, people ask questions and want to fix me. I dont want to be fixed Ren.” His voice painfully quiet as he spoke, leaning a bit into her touch regardless of how stiff and awkward it was. It was still an attempt at comfort that he respected her for. His next words were barely higher than a whisper. “Im unfixable.”
Ren tried to offer a smile in comfort, she hoped it would make the boy feel slightly at ease as he looked to her. In hindsight it probably looked about as uncomfortable as her stiffened hug would have felt, but it was something at least, if not a small gesture. “You don’t need to be fixed,” Tightening her grip in his arm and pulling him in closer was the best she could think to do. It was inappropriate to offer him the bottle of vodka, possibly insensitive to take a scoop if icecream. She had to say something, but she never had been great with words. “I think you are perfect, there is nothing too fix. Except maybe your hair, that is a mop.”

“Oh well thank you! Musical theatre isn’t bad at all. It’s actually fun!”
“Musicals are alright to work on, but more finicky work. Everything happening in real time is difficult, especially when you’re working with divas. You are not a diva are you?”
“Really? And yeah I am. Honestly, my major is acting though—I’ve been tempted to change it to musical theatre. Not sure if it’s too late to do that though…probably but hey, I’m sure with being an acting major, I can still go for Broadway.”
“I wouldn’t tell you a lie to make you feel better, so really. Acting is not a bad major, worse than musical theatre but that is probably because of the people you have to work with.”
Aideen chuckled as she looked at Ren. “It’s–from the Broadway production called ‘Finding Neverland.’ The song’s called ‘What you mean to me’” She replied. “It’s a really good song. My favorite to be exact.”
“Never been a fan of broadway, but that song is nice. Are you a fan of broadway then? Because if that’s the case you should be in musical theatre instead.”
“I just don’t want to be in the way. I’m not very good nor am I a good runner. I’m slow, I just like to stay in shape—well, I like working out, honestly. I’m just not comfortable with how I look, that’s why I come early, no one’s here to see me.”
“It is okay if you are slow, or not good at gym. I promise while you work out I can look other way, no need to feel self conscious.”
“Fine..it’s a deal.” Aideen chuckled before softly sighing. “ Standing here. All at once. All the words run dry. Something changed, Can’t explain, And I can’t deny. Turning in circles And blurring the lights The unspoken is calling us tonight. I won’t lie. I’m a little bit frightend Of my imagination Swear I’ll try I’m feeling enlightened. Youre my inspiration We can fly if we want to I promise that faith will give you wings. Just take the second star on the right. Straight ahead till morning light……”
When Aideen started singing, Ren lifted her hands to cover her eyes which she squeezed shut as she just listened. It wasn’t until she had finished that she allowed herself so slowly lower her hands back to her side, peering her eyes open with a grin resting on her lips. “I haven’t heard that song before.”
Aideen glanced around before chuckling and corssing her arms. “You–want me to sing?”
“I can close my eyes if it will make you feel better? Or turn the other way? I can show you some practical effects after if you would like, talent for a talent.”
“Sadly it isn’t but hey, it’s alright. I..also love to sing. But–that’s only when no one is around.”
“I am almost nobody, does that count?” Looking up at the girl with slight amusement, she pointed around to make her point at the emptiness.
“Pleasure to meet you. Honestly…riding horses or reading. Though, the first is impossible here. So I’ll just stick to reading.”
“It’s defiantly not the place for horse riding, but it is for reading. I would offer some material, but I don’t have any fiction on me..”
“–I know. It’s just one of those days. It’s complicated. But thank you for trying to help. I’m Aideen.”
“Aideen, I am Ren Koizumi. What makes you feel better on days like this?”
