More authenticity, more presence, more peace.

Less performative behaviour and more presence: I've realised I don't hate many things, but i hate performative, inauthentic and disingenuous people, maybe it's because I'm an artist and performance is an element of my work and I want to distinguish between real life and art.

Performative/ inauthentic behaviour, makes my skin crawl. I can always see right through it and even hear it in people's tone of voice. That's why, I'm a bit of recluse, I'd rather surround myself with people who don't perform and don't expect me to perform irl either. If that makes me high maintenance, then so be it.

cheap access isn't for me and having high standards has saved me from so much BS.

I also prefer people with high standards too because their self-esteem usually matches. It means I won't have to lower my standards to deal with them.
