The way Tahlia smiled - it was almost magical because of how it affected him immediately, lightening the mood a bit but it didn’t take away the thoughts of what he’d like to do to those people. “If they ever come back around, any of them…you need to tell me.”
Momentarily, her face screwed up in confusion; despite that, she still nodded. “Of course, love,” she murmured with another nod, teeth catching her bottom lip. “I don’t think it’s going to be an issue; I really don’t. But I promise if it is, I’ll let you know.”
While he still felt relief - it was a little unsettling to think about the men Tahlia has had experience with. “I stand by this - you don’t need to thank me because I love you and we’re in this together. These people you speak of must have pathetic lives but they are a part of your past. Only your past.”
“Well, I can’t take the thank you back so unfortunately for you, love, you’re just going to have to accept it.” Still, he was right - the people like that, they were no longer a part of her life, and she was grateful for it. She offered him a small, bright smile. “Only my past.”
A sigh of relief escaped him as he felt a little more weight lift off of his shoulders. For a moment there, some part of him thought that they were going to end this - that that’s what Tahlia would want. Before she could pull away, though, he pressed his lips against her forehead. “Thanking me for this sounds erm…weird.”
“Not really.” Tahlia hummed quietly, letting out a quiet laugh. “Not everyone would stay. Or at least not panic.” A soft huff left her mouth, lips pressing into a thin line. “In fact, I can name at least three people off the top of my head who would have left immediately.”

Borysko looked down to meet Tahlia’s eyes, a more relieved smile spread across his face. “Then…we’ll be together as we figure this out. No matter what decision you make, I’ll be here, okay?”
“I know you will.” She shifted to brush her mouth along the line of his jaw, lingering for a moment before she pulled away. “Thank you.”
