a haunting legacy
As I said earlier I had a ton of spoilers going into the walking dead but it's such a testament to the show's brilliance that I find I don't mind it all that much, like sure the shock value of a lot of things would probably leave an even more lasting impact on me if I didnt know they would happen, but the show's so well written that even if I know a character will live through an encounter or they won't I will still sit with a bated breath.
On the funnier side, I don't have the context for some of the spoilers , so every time Carl is in a dangerous situation I'm sitting there like please dont lose that eye yet my sweet summer child.
Rick and Daryl enter the backrooms
watching twd season five and Tara fist bumping Rick help I love her so much
god I adore Michonne so fucking much
the walking dead bewitched me body and soul, some Daryl from season one because I am battling artblock when it comes to creative ideas, currently at season two and excited for more
going into the walking dead I was aware of most major spoilers and events that happen in the show but man watching the confrontation of Shane and Rick, I wish I didn't, because that was painful as hell even knowing how that would end, can't imagine the feeling of watching it for the first time when it aired out. The writers did both of these characters justice with that relationship my god, I may hate a lot of Shane's actions but I got to admit - him and Rick, especially in those last episodes, were so well written, the dialogues, the everything. Man this series got in my feels

do you take comms? 🥳 alsoooo requesting Bode 👉👈
hi for the moment no, but I've been thinking about it more and more lately, so there might me some announcement in the near future. And I'll probably draw Bode too in the upcoming days, but no promises :D
always avoided any apocalyptic series for some reason, but I had nothing to watch so I started the walking dead and the pilot jesus this is some good shit, already regretting not starting sooner
Idk guys, you think he can be redeemed?

I hope this is a safe space to say I do not like the portayal of inquisitors in star wars. I enjoy the idea of it, and yes I did find their appearance in Maul the most entertaining one so far due to their combat (Bariss being an inqusitor also had a feel to it, but the format of the tales didnt let us sit with it long enough for me to have some stronger feelings if I'm honest) but I feel like they fall flat most of the time and even though Trilla was probably the closest I felt connected to an inqusitor and the deeper story behind her but still, it feels like there's always something lacking. Instead of being this haunted presence of mostly jedi children (I know some of then weren't, I'll get to that) ripped from their culture and home and being made into this mess of a weapon, they're spewing arrogant nonsense left and right which makes them feel like someone took the fact that star wars is a "soap opera" a little too literally and made them feel like a cardboard instead of real characters. They feel like plot devices and nothing more. This to say I also didn't enjoy Reva, For me her reasoning felt nonsensical at times. You could say that she was just a child seeking revenge in this twisted way of hers but like the more you think about the more you feel like you're coming up with excuses rather than a genuine characterisation.
Like I do believe that if inqusitors were these silent forces rather than villains who say dramatic monologues left and right and the way they could be characterized is by their mannerisms rather than words I feel like that would work better with the entire idea they present. I'm not saying some of them cant be dramatic, like sure, jedi wiki states that palpatine did have some jedi/force sensitives already in mind for the inqusitorius that were brash, angry and arrogant but still I feel like all of them act like that, rather than some. Also on a sidenote, I didn't really want to delve into that because I have zero idea about psychology but I don't truly buy that torture can invoke loyalty to an extent where someone is actively praising their condition left and right without any prompting, loyalty for survival? sure. loyalty that goes out of its way to insult the other side? ehh?? I don't know I just don't feel it.
I don't know I could be misreading the characters I don't deny that, but like for the life of me I cannot truly feel for them in any meaningful way because they feel so... flat?
feel free to disagree, this is just me ranting about a fictional franchise anyway
