A year ago today ....I lost you. I lost the chance to ever see you again, to see that bright smile or hear you laugh and sing. I had to come to terms with the fact that a person that was a part of my entire life almost everyday .....her blood in my veins, her teachings and her memories pinned deeply in my subconscious. .....would never be a part of my life again and that, that time was over for good. Seeing you lifeless in a box changed me forever. But I have to remember the life I felt in your presence when you existed as the human being you were. In memory of my grandmother, my nanny.....my second mom.....rest in peace Carol poynton. And wherever your energy has expanded to in this universe....let it shine like your eyes did when you smiled even through the tragic life you lived. Your strength will always inspire me nanny.
