I’ve always loved the idea of sewing some of the Samantha outfits from the book illustrations and/or movie that were never made into doll clothes, so this weekend I made the play dress from the original “Meet Samantha” illustrations!

Although a blue version of this outfit was officially released (which is where I got the pinafore for the picture), I just love this original black and white version.

The sewing pattern for this dress (pinafore not included) is available for PDF download now on my Etsy! I am also planning to list the dress itself for sale later this week.

I have always liked the idea of making Nellie her own versions of some of Samantha’s outfits, so I spent the last few days making Nellie her own Meet Samantha dress.

This was a bit of a challenge since I had to come up with my own pattern for it, but I’m pleasantly surprised with how well it turned out!

It’s silver instead of gold but it adds a nice little piece of jewelry for her (made out of a basic lobster clasp, some chain and a charm I found one day at work)

Yo guys, the Salam Sisters dolls are back! They're on a pre-order basis right now, but apparently will ship out in time for Eid. Like the original release, they come with 2 hijabs it seems, but their outfits have been refreshed significantly (I really love Yasmina's the most), and I think Nura might have longer hair now (I'll have to find her original picture to be sure tbh). Sadly, I don't think Layla has glasses anymore (must have gotten contacts now haha). Also when ordering, there's an option to have them displayed in the box with their hijab, or without and just having it packaged in the box. Personally, I like having them displayed with the hijab, but it doesn't matter, with me they'll be out of the box as soon as I get them from the delivery truck haha. They're on the Zileej website.
