Hello! I’m Ren, and I’ve been playing the sims for years. Not that I’m very good at it, or really know how simblr works, but I do my best. Most of my sims series are posted on my Youtube channel as videos, but between episodes I’ll sometimes play a bit behind the scenes and post screenshots from what happens over here. I may not be active here 24/7, but I’ll try to post when I can. (also I cannot follow or like using this blog, it all defaults to my main, sorry if that’s confusing at all to anyone)

yo hey US people who sent in absentee ballots, they are tossing mail-in ballots for no reason. i just had to call my county board of elections and demand a cure for my ballot because north carolina didn't send out any notices of issues with ballots, and the issues are fake. if you voted by mail-in make sure your ballot was actually counted

A reminder about the "red mirage:"

Tomorrow, early results will likely suggest that Trump is leading. This is not because more people overall voted for him; rather, because rural districts have smaller populations than urban or suburban districts, and they tend to vote red. Later, votes in areas with higher populations will be counted, and these tend to skew blue.

Trump will likely demand that the vote counts cease while he's ahead. Just remember where this is coming from: The man who said that we shouldn't test so many people for COVID so it wouldn't look like it was running out of control wants to stop counting votes so it won't look like he's getting his butt kicked.

I keep seeing people talking about the “Red Mirage” the idea that it only looks like Republicans are winning and it could still go either way.

I fucking hope so because my anxiety is spiking.

Yes. So here's what happens:

Voting is reported by precinct.

Smaller, more rural precincts finish counting first and report first. These tend to swing much heavier towards R than D.

This makes it look like a state is fully and quickly "going red." This is the Red Mirage.

Bigger, more urban districts take longer to count and may stay open to allow everyone in line to vote. (STAY IN LINE)

As those urban districts, which swing much heavier D, start to report in, we see what the news calls The Blue Shift.

In addition, some states don't allow counting of mail-in/absentee ballots to begin until election day.

Those ballots tend to lean very heavily D.

As those ballots come in, the Blue Shift gets more pronounced.

That's what Trump was complaining about 4y ago about how "oh suddenly at 2 am all these votes out of nowhere." Those were absentee ballots being reported.

Additionally, deep red states are most likely to be called very quickly after polls close. This is why it looks like Trump is way ahead in electoral college votes right now.

The Blue Shift is no guarantee of how a state will eventually go, but don't freak out. This is gonna be a long night, and it may take several days before we know for sure how things will go.

I went on a rampage, and collected about million PSDs & other resources. I don't really use most of them myself atm, but I thought I'd share them in the hopes that someone else will get some good use out of the masterpost.

If you have any additions that aren't on here, send them to me!

I've tried my best to avoid duplicates of social media templates (eg, only one instagram, youtube, etc. since they tend to look fairly similar) but other than that duplicates are welcome.

I'm also going to be adding a section with links to Simlish fonts, so if anyone has links to those please send them my way. I will keep the site updated!

Please don't send me direct download links, only links that lead to creators' blogs (unless the og posts aren't available) I want to make sure people get their proper credit.

hello, if it's possible could you add littlemisssams' folder back? a lot of the optional files are only on cures forge and she's admitted to being a zionist in the cursed forge discord server and i'd rather not download from her at all and block her. thank you!

i'll add it back up because i understand that some people will still want to use those mods. however i think that we should try to avoid her as much as possible cause that's some evil shit she's been saying. like this post said, sims4me makes similar bug fixes and most mods are replaceable. for me personally, i'm deleting all her stuff from my mods folder.

Somehow, one of the Crystal trees that Evangeline had planted simply vanished into the ether... but left the crystals behind floating in midair. We can't gather them, they're just... there. Weird.

Either way, it's still a good idea to start trying to sell some actual crystals in addition to her crafted jewelry and such. The floating crystals just add some extra ambience, and they draw people's attention.

Afterschool Activities

At school, Alcor's found himself classmates with Kiana's own kid, Demarcus. And apparently there's a handful of other magically gifted kids here too, mixed in with the humans. However, he's been struggling with his schoolwork- all the words and letters keep jumping around and getting mixed up when he tried to read them. So one of his teachers suggested he use the text to speech on the computers to help him out- and that when he gets home, he talks to his moms about getting evaluated for dyslexia.

god don't you just love when you're in the in the end stages of making one of the best builds you've done in basically forever and have spent hours on it and are feeling so proud of yourself for finally making a decent looking build for once, only for the game to crash on you so you gotta redo it all over again? and i don't even have time for it cuz I have work in 15 minutes...
