I was walking by and — something made me want to go inside, just to take a look and I REALLY wish I hadn’t.” A part of her wondered if anything she saw there had been real, if maybe her mind was playing tricks on her just because she was back in Derry. Although, deep down, she knew it was all real and that IT was back. “I don’t even know what I saw, just got a little FREAKED out by something. You know, I always thought I’d be depressed coming back for a reunion but I never thought it would be for THIS reason. I always just assumed it would have something to do with Greta and her ‘friends’.” She finally allowed herself to smile, glancing over to her old friend, “How’ve you been doing? Other than having to come back here again.”

Eddie stood quietly whilst Beverly spoke. Just watching tentatively, still taking in the situation. Everything was so different but entirely the same. Sure, the pharmacy was looking quite modern but it felt familiar. And, when he looked at Bev, there was always that moment where he had to do a double take because he was sure that they were fourteen again. Then it came crashing down that they weren’t and they were back, and whatever this was? It was real. Very fucking real. He met Beverly with a smile though, shoulders lifting into a shrug before promptly falling back to his side.

“ Hard tellin’, not knowin’, Bev. ” Eddie commented. It was hard to dwindle down the last thirty years into one mood. A lot had happened. And, even more so as he had stepped into Derry. It seemed as though the somewhat success and lives outside of Derry weren’t very important. And, Eddie was still stuck on the fact that Beverly had also seen something. Because he had too and was one-hundred percent sure he was crazy. “ I know what you mean though, I figured there’d be some high school reunion maybe but that probably wouldn’t have convinced me to come back. Not like did this... Anyways, back to the other thing? You thought you saw something? ”
