Went to a fabric store yesterday and saw a sewing machine that did embroidery of photos and the example was of a newborn baby and it was so fucking insane looking I asked an employee if I could buy it and she looked at it and was like “oh my god eugh what the fuck… i think that’s my bosses grandkid….I think you should just take it” so I did
Who has seen the wind?
The argument of "trans men have privilege when they pass" is also so asinine because privilege isn't just "other men treating you nicer" it's getting unbiased and unrestricted medical attention, it's lower or no statistics of corrective sexual assault or impregnation, it's not having actual laws passed against your existence, it's not having to worry about passing in the first place, it's having historical figures retain their identity and not erased in some girl power misgendering bs, it's having your identity celebrated instead of treated like a loss of something pure.
If you think male privilege is just being treated like "one of the guys" in day to day life, you need to relearn a lot of things about privilege before you try to have these conversations.
*Puts on an extremely sarcastic voice*
Hello, my name is World's Most Privileged Trans Man, and I have some things to say about transandrophobia.
First of all, you trenders- I mean transandrobros, might not know this, but testosterone is soooo much more powerful than estrogen, so when you start T you pass instantly. I know this, because when I started T at 12 years old, I looked like all the other boys in my class, right after my first shot!
Also, abortion bans don't even affect us, because you can just get a hysterectomy. You should have been trying to get one anyway, since getting pregnant is only for women. If your insurance denies you, just have your parents pay for it like mine did!
I make a lot of money at my job where my colleagues make sexist jokes like I'm "one of the guys", and therefore so do you. I have never felt unsafe with a doctor or police officer, and therefore neither have you. I refuse to believe that anyone could have a different experience than me so they are just being a whiny baby, and I refuse to admit that being upper middle class, white, able bodied, and cis passing, might have a little more baring on my blissfully privileged life, rather than my True Male Soul
*Takes off my sarcastic voice*
This is how all these dudes sound to me, like, cool man, glad your life rules, this still does not accurately reflect the lived experience of 90% of trans men/mascs
I know it's more nuanced than this but I think having a hard policy of thinking anyone who genuinely hates one group of queer people for their identity might as well hate all of us and thus I should block any queerphobic queer person I see can do a lot to save you from believing anything exclusionists say.
"bomb that kills all-" "I just don't get bi women bringing their-" "pansexuality isn't a real thing-" "all lesbians-" "trans men really are men bcs they're all misogynistic predators-" "theyfabs-" "pfft aroace people are cringe-" "nonbinary people are actually all-" Instant block. Goodbye. Not listening. It's for both solidarity with your fellow queers AND to protect yourself, because once a person is convinced to hate one group for their immutable traits they can be convinced fairly easily to hate another too, and thus I do not trust them.
Just block these people the second they pop up, they aren't your allies and nothing they have to say is worth listening to.
they are okay

im getting top surgery right now!! happy pride!!!
but if i know you, i know what you'll do
"its disrespectful to this woman who lived as a man and was only outed against their will to say that she might have been transmasc/a trans man if she lived today!! dont theorize dead peoples genders!!" isnt any different to me than "kids are too young to know their sexuality" because it means the same thing: assume cishet until proven otherwise. and thats still a theory as much as saying joan of arc might've been transmasc if she has the language to express it
what character(s) do you associate with the person you reblogged this from?
