My mom will leave a large bowl of dog food outside while the dogs are perusing the yard and they’ve never once tried to take from it, and only wait until she comes back outside with the cracked corn to come off of the garage. They’ve never been hostile towards my dogs either. It’s great to observe, I’ll have to take photos sometime when I remember to.

Yes I have a nightly routine it’s called being Insane in my room till I pass out

Every day around 4PM for the last five or six months the same group of three crows hang out on my backyard fence and then move to the roof of our garage when my mom lets our dogs into the backyard at 5. They hang out for another twenty minutes until my mom comes back out to let our dogs into the house and throws them cracked corn. They never stay around once they’ve finished eating, but we’ve noticed a significant lack of sparrows that previously used to nest in our garage and attack us and our dogs. Paid security, I suppose.

This is my last Orkney post and also my favourite part of our journey: A walk along the dramatic coastline of Orkney’s Mainland. The colours of the sea were beautiful and the caves created from washed out sandstone looked majestic and mysterious. Hope to be back one day.
