It’s taken me awhile to actually write this, upper management at the O.S.C decided that my blog required an inquest but couldn’t actually connect it to me and decided that the public wouldn’t take me serious… oh well.
You requested Abominations, also known as Mutants, Mutates, Cryptids, or Genetic Creations. Aboms are an odd classification, as they, unlike Shapeshifters, Vampires, Ghosts, ect. come in all sorts of shapes and sizes with minimal similarities between them. The Abomination is either created naturally or their genetics are tampered with.
The natural ones are known as Class 1.
My first experience with an abomination was Class 3, he was a young man, maybe 25 who had stumbled into the city with little memory of who he was or what was happening to him. He turned himself in to the Redonian Disease Containment Agency (RDCA), and they sent him to us.
I entered his testing room to see him sitting on a bed, coloring in a picture of a crocodile in an adult coloring book. He was sweet, kind, happy to comply with blood tests and trials. From what I’ve said he seems human, however at that time his transformation wasn’t close to done.
He was exhibiting signs of rapidly developing bone over top his skin. It was rough, blistering and thick in patches all over his body, his eyes had begun to turn yellow and he was getting taller and wider by the day.
I asked him how he was feeling and he laughed, his voice was hoarse and tired.
“I can hear them talking, the ones who made the trees. They tell me to wander the waters edge and…” he sighed and hung his head.
I was going to press the issue, inquire as to what they want him to eat, but I had to get his blood tests processed.
Three days later he had become massive, hulking with horns and armored skin. He tore out of the facility and killed dozens.
I no longer needed to know what he ate.
The bisected bodies of coworkers answered that for me.
We havent found him since.
