Top Ward Mistakes I
These are some common reasons why wards, even powerful ones, fail at times. I have noticed these over the years, through my mistakes and others.Â
Not enough layers: Wards are made of pure energy, and usually arenât sentient- meaning they arenât smart and usually donât adjust to different attackers. Without the ability to adjust, attackers can get by with ease. Having multiple layers of wards helps prevent this. While layers will vary of course based on your needs, I always recommend three basic layers for a ward, going outwards to the inside: 1) non-detection, 2) offensive ward, 3) defensive ward. The reason for these particular layers being: an attacker canât attack if it canât find you. If they do find you, they are then dissuaded by a ward that attacks them. They will have to go through the ward that hurts them to even get to the ward that defends you, thus weakening them and making it harder to get through that final line of defense at the same time.
Too rigid: What shatters more easily when hit- a plastic case, or a rubber ball? The plastic case- why? Because it is super rigid and unable to bend; thus, just one concentrated hit could break through it with ease. This applies to wards as well- you donât want your wards to be unable to bend- else they shatter under a concentrated hit. Being flexible doesnât make a ward weaker- you can still have a super tough and thick ward that bends!
Not selective or specific enough: âKeep out malicious entities.â Okay, well what do you mean by malicious? Being as specific as possible is best when it comes to protections. Instead of just saying âmaliciousâ how about- âthose that would bring me nightmaresâ, âthose that would harm meâ. This also ties into the next point-
âŠFrom whose point of view?: Okay, you did it, you made your ward. âKeep out anything with malicious intent.â But the key isâŠwho judges the malicious intent? A nasty entity could easily go, âthis is good for me!â and bypass the ward. Additionally, an abusive entity who believes, from their point of view, that what they are doing is âhelpingâ you, and thus not malicious, could easily bypass an unspecific ward. It is best to say something along the lines of, âThings I deem as a malicious intention.â That way, it is based on YOUR judgement alone, what YOU deem as bad, and thus it cannot be interpreted any other way by trickster entities.
A circular wall, or a sphere?: You made your ward- itâs selective, not super rigid, and you made sure the terms were from your point of view. And yet- itâs still easily bypassed! Bad Entities appear in your room, seemingly untouched by the wards. What couldâve happened? Well- this ability called âteleportationâ exists. If your innermost ward is a circular wall- not filled in- then an entity could easily bypass your wards just by teleporting directly to you or directly into your space! To protect against this, you want your innermost ward to be like a sphere- filled in on the inside with protective energies as well. Thus, the constraints applying to the outer layers of your wards (no malicious intent from my point of view) are applied to your actual space as well- thus nullifying the teleporting ability, or dealing damage to any entities that manage to teleport inside anyways. Tarot Spread By Request: My Life Is A Hot Garbage Fire
1, 2, 3: Whatâs on fire?Â
I know you think you donât need these three cards. But trust me, you need these three cards. They orient the whole spread to make sure youâre on the same page as to whatâs really gone up in flames in your life.
4: Is it really that bad?
Whatâs the reality? Whatâs the lesson here? All the time, âbadâ things happen (or spontaneously combust) and itâs actually for our own good. Hereâs a peek at your silver-lining, though you may not be ready to embrace it yet. Also, if youâre making a mountain out of a molehill - this is where youâll get a reality check.
5: Who/what piled up the garbage?
Maybe it was you? Maybe it wasnât. Maybe it was someone else, or a life circumstance, or a particular desire. Find out.
6: Who/what set it ablaze?
Piled up garbage is one thing. A burning pile of garbage is another. Garbage can be salvaged. Itâs best to let flaming garbage burn itself out. So who/what decided that there was nothing redeemable here? What circumstances looked at this pile of garbage and gave a resounding: âFuck it!â
7: How can I forgive them?
You can also frame this card as: How can I move on? Whether you set the blaze yourself, or it was someone else, or a circumstance or life event that did it for you, forgiveness will give you the strength to leave the ashes where they lie.Â
Note: Look, if you try this spread thinking that nothing is really that messed up in your life (like I just did), youâre going to probably get called out on something. Take it with a grain of salt. The severity of a garbage fire is truly relative to how you feel about it.
And, above all, remember that you canât get a phoenix unless you start with a pile of ashes.

Banishment Bath - Love and Memories
Use: Roses are strongly associated with love, passion and memory. Â With this ritual bath, it will aid in banishing persistent negative memories that hurt you and repelling unwanted romantic and sexual attentions.
What you will need:
A new moon night
Sea salt
Rose Petals (dried or fresh)
Candles (tea lights work fine and white or black can be used)
Storm water (optional)
Rosemary (optional - for added boost on the memory and purification)
Directions:
New moon cycles are great for banishments and new beginnings, because of this you will want to have your bath on the night of the new moon. Set your circle within your bathroom. Â Now you will need to pull out your candles. Â The number will vary but you will want one candle per memory or persistent pursuer of you for this ritual. Â If you want it to be a generalized ritual, a pillar candle is recommended. Â Light your candle(s) thinking specifically about what you want to banish and once that is done, begin to draw up your bath water and turn out the lights so you are left with your candle light.Â
While you are filling the tub, pour in some storm water if you plan to use it. Â The amount is up to you. Â If you are not using storm water, put in the salt now so it can have time to dissolve. Â Now throw in your rose petals and your rosemary too if you are going to use it. Â After you have filled the tub, climb in and soak. Â Now is the hard part. Â If you are banishing painful memories, you will need to think on them again, how they made you feel, why they hurt so much. Â If you are trying to banish and repel unwanted attentions, you will need to think on them and acknowledge why they make you uncomfortable. Â Take a deep breath in, hold it and then exhale, releasing the memory with it. Â State to yourself that whatâs done, is done and it will not change now. Â Acknowledge that it hurt and then state that you no longer give it power over you.
When you are finished with that memory (or person) drip some of your bath water onto the candle, extinguishing the flame, picturing itâs influence being snuffed from your life. Â Repeat until you have gone through all of your candles. If you would like to sit a little longer in your bath, you may do so and focus on the water cleansing you of what holds you down. Â Get out of the bath when you are ready and do a bit of self care. Â :3
