Current project: turning the garage into a studio. Tearing off original (leaky) shingles, building gables onto former hip roof, framing in a door + window in place of the scary garage door. The above right is where we're currently at with kitchen renovations. Though originally excited about the copper tiles behind the oven, I've recently been thinking it's a little busy. I think we've decided on the bottom left. http://ift.tt/2cwGgTY

We decided to keep most fixtures for now, just fixing and touching them up with paint, etc. Behind the recessed medicine cabinet were numerous straight razors. Apparently, the slit inside the cabinet was designed for razor disposal.
