Rose Gold Smokey Eye using Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette
First Step (not shown in photos): Prime your lids with a eyeshadow primer or base. I used Urban Decay’s eyeshadow potion in the original formula.
Second Step (first photo): With a large fluffy brush, I used Sigma’s E40, apply Limit from the crease to just below the brow bone. This is going to be the transition shade.
Third Step (second photo): Using a more precise blend brush, I used the larger end of the brush that comes with the Naked 3 palette, apply Nooner into the crease and blend it up into Limit.
Fourth Step (third photo): Using the flat end of the Naked 3 brush, highlight the brow bone with Strange.
Fifth Step (fourth photo): Taking NYX jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt, apply this all over the lid, but make sure to NOT get any in the crease. Blend this out with your finger.
Sixth Step (fifth photo): With the flat side of the Naked 3 brush, apply Buzz all over the lid. Because you’ve applied the eye pencil as a base, Buzz is going to be much more vibrant. With the opposite end of the Naked 3 brush, start deepening the crease with Factory.
Seventh Step (sixth photo): Keep deepening up the outer-V by building up Factory and bring it a little less than half way on to the lid.
Eighth Step (seventh photo): Taking a tapered blend brush, I used Sigma’s E40, take Blackheart and really smoke out the outer-V. Bring Blackheart about one-third of the way on to the lid and wing it outward. I took it a step further, using an angled brush, I used a Sephora professional 10 brush, and apply Urban Decay’s Blackout to the very outer part of where Blackheart is.
Ninth Step (eighth photo): Smoke out the lower lash line by first applying Nooner with a pencil brush from outer to inner corner. Then, apply Blackheart one-third of the way in from the outer corner. Finally, use Limit to blend it all together.
Tenth Step (ninth photo): With a pencil brush, you can use the same from before but make sure to clean it if, spray your brush with a setting spray and then apply Trick to the inner corner. This shadow is very light so I highly recommend using a makeup setting spray or an extra tacky base.
I finished off this look with a heavy application of Smashbox’s Full Exposure mascara, and I applied a thin line of Stila’s liquid eyeliner just to the upper lash line, I did not wing it out. I also finished my brows with Urban Decay’s brow box in Honey Pot.
