Description:If you've ever run out of space on your hard disk drive, and had trouble telling just what to get rid of, this handy little program will display every file on your Computer's hard disk, letting you see which files are taking up the most space. Warning:There are a few files you shouldn't touch, such as anything under C:\windows\. Additionally, I've pointed out the pagefil.sys and the hyberfil.sys. Both of these are Windows-controlled special files, so don't touch them.

Description:When your computer connects to the Internet, it downloads websites onto your computer so that you may read them. When you close an Internet browser however, not all of these downloaded files are deleted, despite being temporary.
CCleaner will clean all these temporary files, even the ones that would not normally be cleaned. You will be completely signed out of everything (like Facebook) when you log back on, but all unnecessary temporary files will be eliminated, along with your recycling bin contents. It also has a Registry Cleaner feature, but that's for more advanced users.
What is the Internet?
The Internet is a massive, global network of computers. Just like how everyone can have a phone, every person with a computer can potentially be connected to this network.
So what are you looking at, when you look at a website? Well, other computers. If a machine is connected to the network, it can be seen. Some machines are bigger than others, so to speak, and are very "visible". But, every computer can be seen.
But the network itself is not just the computers; it's also the phone lines, what's known as the "Backbone". Like it suggests, without this physical infrastructure, the Internet doesn't exist. You can actually construct Internets on a smaller scale, if you want. If you're reading this from your home, you've already kind of done that.
The Internet is possible the single greatest resource mankind has ever known. However, all issues pertaining to proper care and usage of a computer, generally deal with effectively and safely navigating the Internet and hardening your computer to external threats. This blog will attempt to define various tools, sites, and programs to make your windows machine safe and powerful.
