You read that right sometimes we get caught up in media and the imagery of the industry gimmicks that we forget about a person talent’s. Now I always loved Lil Mama because she always could spit and she exudes the sound of a New York rapper from her flow, delivery, and even her swag. Overall summer ’16 has been Lil Mama Slay ’16 she been ripping up people beats and even dropped a new single check out her videos below.
Females rappers are NOT looked over!! Despite how many times a female rapper hop on radio stations and do interviews saying things like “It’s not many of us in the game we need to support one another” “Hip Hop is in dire need of real female MC’s”.
That’s all true…. well except for the part where they say it’s not a lot of female rappers in the game. Truth is its more female rappers blazing the scene than ever before. Even in the 90’s you had many female rappers to be a backbone of Hip Hop for example; Lady of Rage, YOYO, Queen Latifah, Da Brat, Heather B, Rah Digga, Lauryn Hill and then you had those mid 90’s female rappers who came out flexing like; Missy Elliot, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, EVE, Jackie-O and many more. There has always been a gang of females in the rap industry and these chicks was known for their ties to some of the hottest male entourages like Junior Mafia, Rockafella, Ruff Ryders, Terror Squad plus a range of many more entourages.
The rap game even in the early 2000’s had female rappers enter the game like Trina, Khia, Shawnna, Rasheeda, Charlie Baltimore, Remy Ma, all these artists had their own style and all brought something different to Hip Hop. The early 2000’s is when you saw some of the most REAL female beef and caddy-ness, from Lil Kim vs. Foxy Brown, Trina vs. Khia Lil Kim vs. Remy Ma, Trina vs Jacki-O. Now of course them not the only female beefs that we saw it was many more but in Hip Hop when females in the game around mid 2000’s it was some type of underwritten rule to enter the game and beef with a female rapper to get your name up. Females quickly became crabs in a bucket when it came to the music industry.
Looking at the rap game today it’s a multitude of female rappers in the game both mainstream and underground. So when I hear people say “Hip Hop needs the females to make a comeback” “Hip Hop lacking the female MC’s”. That just baffles me because you have a long line of females besides Nicki Minaj doing their thing just like MC’s did back in the 90’s.
Don’t get me wrong Nicki Minaj is holding it down for females in MC’s on a mainstream level however it’s female rappers who released mixtapes and even albums that are straight FIRE!!
Jumping ahead to today’s era you have more female rappers entering the game mostly because social media gives almost anyone a platform. Some are trash literally garbage not because they are female but because they are just a horrible rapper just how it’s some horrible male rappers.
In today’s era you have some dope female artist who have BARS and are known on a more local and region geographic location. For instances “Lee Mazin” is known all throughout Philly her pen game is hot but her off the dome bars are even Hotter.
Then you have Nyemiah Supreme is another female rapper that’s known throughout her hometown of New York.

The diss comes after Braxton posted about being “stabbed in the back” right before the news broke. “I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters),” she wrote a week ago. “I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own. But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light.”
While we wait for Braxton to spill the tea on what really went on between the women, her cohosts have all taken to social media to express their shock and sadness over her departure.
Loni wanted to make one thing clear: she had nothing to do with what happened!
“It was an individual phone call and I asked why. They told me it was none of my business, because it’s between Tamar’s management and them,” Love says.
“When we wrapped Season 2, we had a photo shoot, Tamar was part of that. There was no indication that Tamar was going to be let go,” she continues. “We as the hosts, we don’t have that type of power. If I had that type of power, I’d have my own show. I don’t fire people. We genuinely all like each other. Sometimes we might be irritated with each other, that’s just part of the nature of the show. I’m very devastated, just like she is. I understand that she’s upset.”
Loni says she hasn’t stopped trying to get in contact with Tamar, to no avail.
“I know I’ll probably get in trouble for dong this and maybe I’ll be the next one [to be fired],” she says in closing. “Tamar is a good girl, she works very very hard and she’s very talented. We had nothing to do with the whole situation. Nothing. I’m very very devastated right now. I’ll be off the grid for a while like everybody else as we try to figure all this stuff out.”
